With the "Monty's getting fired tomorrow" story they proved they had access to medium level internal memos. I'd say it's worth posting. It's probably a better source than the TP talking to agents and athletic directors. That being said, I would imagine VOR being at a party of drunk insiders who probably assume he doesn't know what the Internet is makes a much more effective spy.

Heard from my source that is in the know that the only real candidates the Pelicans are interested in at this point are Gentry, Tibs, and Hoiberg. Source did not know interest level of any of the 3 in coming here or what would happen if the Pelicans can't get a deal with any of those 3. Just an FYI.

Hmmm. I was hesitant to post this news as it could be easily traced back to me, so I'm trying to be as vague as possible. According to someone I know that would hear this sort of thing, JVG is the person we have had the most discussion with lately. Quite a few phone calls and video conferences. The mutual interest is there.

That's my feeling as well. Even though they're not always saying who or when they're meeting with, Gentry, who we reportedly met with, is tied up in the playoffs, Hoiberg is apparently not interested, and Thibs is handcuffed. I like JVG here.

I'm probably burning myself by bringing this to the board but I can't contain myself I'm so excited. My guy who is very connected told me that we are working up a deal sending jimmer and a 2018 2nd for Popovich.
