So with this news of the season starting. A schedule will be coming pretty soon too, I'd guess.
There's no way we have as many national games as we did last year right?
I'd still say more than a lot of other teams maybe in the 10-15 game range. I doubt we play on Christmas too.

Believe they said they were releasing the schedule in halves.

I'm curious if they will do Pod schedules. AKA you will play all of your road games versus a team at one time (play the Lakers twice in a row, then play the Clippers twice. Play the Knicks once, then Brooklyn, etc).

As much as I would not like that, I think it makes sense.

I think they are going to do that. Then teams would play all of their games against or division since we aren't particularly close to other teams, like they play both of their games versus us, then Houston, and we would travel to play all of our games versus Houston, San Antonio, Dallas all at once.

That might exaggerate the impact of injuries. No Franchise Player for a week in a normal year might mean 3-4 losses. This year it could mean 3-4 losses to a division opponent that impacts tie breakers.

The risk is the same for all teams, I’m just saying it’s a new element of schedule luck entering the equation.

Yeah I don't really like that idea. I understand the theory is to reduce traveling but playing teams spaced out could be the difference in a starter playing vs not playing. Or if the team is in a rut or what ever. Getting beat by a team by 30 points then having to turn around and play them right away isn't usually a good result.
