I haven’t watched a ton of jazz games to really be able to compare properly. But i feel like Clarkson is more athletic and quicker than Davis and a lesser defender. Davis is great at grabbing boards and drawing contact and getting to the line. Good at finishing around the rim. Can shoot the 3 ball but was real streaky.

Why even click this thread if that’s how you view it. They are all the same. Game over. Bye brether

Because you can actually watch 90% of the players play in full game against better competition. If you weren’t such a jackass then you would realize I made a common sense statement.

No, common sense would say “I can watch a highlight reel & still generally understand what a player’s strengths & weaknesses are”

How do you generally understand weaknesses from a highlight reel?

TBF, there are a lot of Youtube Channels these days that do comprehensive strength/weakness highlight reels and scouting videos that aren't just focused on a players best plays or only their positives.

Generally, if I'm looking to compare and contrast players Pels might consider/have a chance at that I dont see a lot of live games of, I look at those types of videos and see what the consensus concerns and positives seem to be, and what I see

If you don’t see a player doing something in a highlight reel, it’s probably a weakness of theirs

I remember when we took Buddy Hield over Jamal Murray.

There’s nothing wrong with Buddy Hield. He’s a solid NBA player.

He ain’t Jamal Murray.

I see Jaden Hardy rising up in draft boards. Seems to look like he improved in G-League. But damn, his defense and finishing around the rim needs improvement. Great ISO player and 3 point shooter though. Love his intensity also.

Supposedly he looks closer to 6’1 than 6’4 according to ringer people.

His 3 point shooting was in the 20's this year.

I was enamored with Jaden earlier in the season, but his time in the G League has nit been good.

Just another reminder for everyone. Webanyama is a generational talent. He’s been playing great the last few games as well. Please Lakers be bad next year

Hypothetical…

But who do you think we could get got 8, Devonte and salary filler?

Or would you rather keep 8?

Does a trade for a really solid win now type move and adding Zion to the mix…trump future development and flexibility.

imo I just don’t think you could get a player that’s good enough to take any of the starting 5s spot. So then you’re trading a top 8 pick for a bench player essentially that’s probably going to have a hefty contract. I just really think the starting lineup is set with who we have now.

Unless you’re able to get a top 15-ish type player that you just can’t turn down. Really the only guys you could say you can upgrade in this starting lineup is Herb and JV. However, JV is arguably a top 10 center in this league on a fairly cheap contract so getting anyone better than him would be very expensive both from an asset standpoint and cap space standpoint.

With Herb you obviously want him in the starting lineup because of his defense, but also his ability to be effective on the court without needing to take 15+ Shots a game. When Zion comes back you’re going to have 4 guys that are going to want to take a lot of shots. Replacing Herb with someone else as the SG would probably just be another guy who takes alot of shots a game as well. That could potentially be a problem.

So really I think it’s better to just keep the pick unless you’re getting an super star caliber player that would instantly make you a legit contender. I would then try and trade Graham still for a role player. Throw in some seconds if you have to. You might have to consider trading Kira in the package with how clogged we are at the point guard position with guys who are relatively small and undersized. But that’s if it’s worth and for a very capable 6th man type.

Let's say the pels get #4 and you have to choose between Banchero and Sharpe

Who do you pick?
