I saw Ivey at FIBA World Cup.
Except his athleticism and his passing game, i don't see others qualities...Like Fox, he's bad shooter (bad FT% and bad 3%), bad defender.
Probably a Fox-
Lamelo Ball is much taller and much better at playmaking.

Dyson Daniels is currently playing Point Guard for the Ignite and has MASSIVELY improved in just one year, added 2 inches in height, rebuilt his jumper into a smooth stroke and knocking down both catch and shoot and off dribble threes with impressive efficiency.
sounds great .
as year goes on update us as to court vision, passing skill and if he can play defense.
hes listed as combo guard.
now 6 6"
18 yrs old.

Yeah, I was saying Fox/Lamelo bc Ivey is 6ft 5
I think Fox is 6ft 1 and Lamelo is 6ft 7 or 8
I just like Ivey’s feel for the game. When you watch Ivey, he exudes high bbiq. I can’t really say that about anyone on our current team minus Zion and Jonas and they don’t have generational feel for the game, they are just above average for it at their positions. Everyone else looks pretty lost all game ir is slow to make reads. Will need to watch Ivey more. Lamelo never showed much shooting chops before the nba, so it’s possible Ivey’s shooting can improve.

Keegan Murray is already soaring up boards. His PER numbers are video gameish but Iowa has had s real guys lately put up some crazy stats and not get drafted very high.

This Chet kid will get absolutely bodied on the next level.
He’s like a twig
You’re talking about another 3-5 yr project player

The biggest issue with Chet is that his best attribute is his rim protection, but he will need to fill out his frame to play full time five.
Honestly, one of the best possible landing spots would actually be us.
Because Zion has the strength to match up with centers, allowing Chet to not get physically overwhelmed guarding the post against bigger guys, but he makes up for Zion's biggest weakness which is rim protection in smaller lineups and can play PF with Val and create a deadly duo.
Pels could even go big like Cleveland and have some super lineups with Val, Chet, Zion, BI, and a guard.

lol no. He is very skinny but he would still be able to contribute immediately. Would he get abused by an elite back to the basket post up center, absolutely, but that wouldn't be often enough to scare teams from getting him. That height and length with his skillset, doesn't come around often.

This isn’t 1985. In today’s wide open NBA he absolutely thrives. Guy moves like he’s 6’6 and is very skilled. Next to Zion and Herb he’d be special. My expectation is that he’s another clear cut #1 come draft.

Idk what NBA you watch but I AD can't even hang with most center in today's game. Hell we see first hand how bad J.Hayes get manhandled most nights-- this kid is 180-190lbs without a lick of muscle.
Simply boxing out and rebounding will be an issue for him.
I'd bet anyone here that this kid won't be anything special at the next level pending huge strength gains.
The entire reason he prob goes to Zaga is because he wouldn't last a full season in a power conference banging down low every night.

on "my" team Chet's a forward.
and of course your pov is accurate. he cannnot bang.

if pels pick first you can holler who to take.

Not really talking Pels related but just in general. A smart team with the number one pick won't pick him number 1 . A dumb team (Kings, Magic etc etc) prob would take him 1.
I just don't think he's number 1 talent overall.

It will be the third time Paulo and Chet have gone up against each other and Chet has dominated him the last two times.
Plus given the weight Zion has put on in New Orleans — Chet would flourish here

on tv today or your phone check out the ucla highlight.
chet blocks a shot, gets the ball, dribbles to head of circle, starts to right, after defender moves to defend that move chet goes behind his back to change direction, dribbles left handed, leaves defender who took wrong move, drives the lane and flushes the dunk.
thats larry bird stuff.
yes hes skinny.
no he cant body up zion.
im in though.

Johnny Davis is a guy who’s shooting up boards right now and just went toe to toe with Jaden Ivey a couple of nights ago and posted a 37/14 game. One of the better half court offense guards if not the best who plays good defense. Seems like we’re starting to see some more quality in the SG position for this class with Ivey, Davis, and Mathurin playing well
Posted on 1/5/22 at 2:20 pm to Macintosh
Not sold on Davis(yet), but between the Zion update and the growth of Mathurin, I think the Pels have a pretty strong chance of at least nabbing a solid SG prospect in Ivey or Mathurin, maybe even a flier on Hardy, if they cant luck into the top 3.

The draft is looking better today than it did at the beginning of the season. I'm optimistic that the Pelicans can land a impactful player in the top 7-8 spots.

even moreso after ncaa tourney.
the best athletes are freshmen.
one or two will appear "out of nowhere" in ncaa tournament.
of course in his locality fans know the guy.
but nationally, apparently suddenly appears.

I don't think that would be our focus with him early on.
Poku was 7 feet and sub-200 and still got almost 5 rpg last year.
Durant was only 215 at the NBA combine
