I just like those bars...it's cool that they have the hornets games, but I'd go there if they didn't have them. IPad app saved the day last night
I think most of you are missing the point that the hornets/cox deal, and the lack of exposure by WWL (690 covers them more) is limiting LOCAL interest in the team

frick satellite television for now. I'll stick with cable for now. Gives me all I want and it never goes down because of weather condiditions. And before anyone says anything, I have never, I mean never, spent and extended period of time in a home or business that uses satellite where there weren't occasional lapses in service.
But the Hornets programming is a big deal for me. That plus you know the satellites are spying on you.

The hornets were the best thing about cox, around November 08 i was hooked, found myself going to games, the playoff run and sitting lower bowl for Dallas game 5 was awesome...CP3 triple double
At least the playoffs aren't on cox

there are actually people on the other site who excuse CST by saying "the team wouldn't be here without that deal"
we also don't know if Cox doesn't want CST to be on DirecTV because people would switch from Cox, or if DirecTV doesn't want CST because it's a small market.
either way, fans lose

Cox is a huge ripoff
Its like $50 for a cox package that include CST. It must suck to be poor. get a paper route or something

Agree with OP. Its not about going to a bar or having cox or whatever (willingly do both, on the reg, live uptown and have cox), but in terms of building a fan base, I feel like the Hornets exposure to the casual fan (aka incremental revenue) is limited relative to the Saints. Its not that you can't follow the team based on all the methods laid out in this thread, its that you shouldn't have to. IDK, maybe I'm overestimating it, I don't watch the local news regularly, it just seems like they get very little coverage sans playoffs.
