How long does patellar tendonitis last? Mild patellar tendonitis can often clear in six weeks if treated properly and given ample rest. More serious cases, such as those requiring physical therapy, may take months for a full recovery, even though relief can often be felt in a few weeks.

I’m no doctor but I get tendinitis in my elbow when I jerk it too much. A couple days off and I’m fine. He’s young too.

Wow! Way too young for that.

Patellar tendinitis is an inflammation issue, he can either ice the frick out of it and take anti inflammatories and try to play through it while still doing rehab, or sit out and rehab it. my guess is the latter

Joel said Trey would try to go against the clippers so hopefully this stuff doesn’t matter. This is Trey’s third missed game; BI missed exactly 3 games before he returned from his tendinitis.

The only difference being this is the knee he had the surgery on (I’m assuming). Makes me worry a little more. Hopefully it’s something he can fight through.

My experience with tendonitis is that it just has to dissipate over time. Could take weeks depending on location and activity. Dunno about Trey, but at least there doesn’t seem to be structural damage.
