Again, did you read the part where the Clippers trade wasn't on the table when he took the Lakers trade?
And? That doesn't make the trade he took better. It was a short-sighted shite-sandwich that he asked his boss to chew fully and swallow.

They were offering Aminu and Bledsoe with filler.
Still a better long-term trade than the Lakers shite.

So, you can't say he chose the Lakers trade over the Clippers one. All I am saying.
Who cares if it was on the table or in their lap? It was available if he knew what he was doing. Instead of bartering, he was focused on the Rockets turd deal.

Otherwise intelligent people do stupid shite all the time. Sometimes they allow their ego to convince themselves that their bad decisions were the right decision that just didn't pan out.

Did you read the part where I said the Clippers trade that went through?
People will shite on that deal now because Gordon got hurt. Because Aminu busted in NO. Because the pick became Rivers.
Whatever the circumstances, they got a good deal that just missed

Yep and it goes both ways. Warriors wanted Dwight and settled for Iggy. Now they look like geniuses. Nobody is as dumb or as smart as the results alone make them look
Posted on 5/16/16 at 1:41 pm to Crewz
Warriors wanted to trade Ellis or Monta for Bogut
Warriors wanted to trade Klay for Gordon
Warriors wanted to trade Klay and Bogut for Dwight
Warriors chose Barnes over Drummond
Warriors thought Draymomd was such a great player thebskiped over him twice in the same draft
That is truly a genius franchise

didn't warriors offer thompson for love too, even after minny wanted a 1st rounder too? only to nix the trade because of jerry west

Oh, and the real trade Dell wanted was Curry and pieces for CP3, which the Warriors were willing to do if CP3 opted in. He wouldn't

I understood every single move Dell made until he fricking tied up 15m/yr in cap space for 4 years by resigning Ajinca/Asik. Whether I agreed in the past or not with the move, I got it. I don't see how any rational person can defend those moves. One year out and we're talking dumping assets to dump Asik and praying Ajinca is considered an asset to someone. It also is making us choose between Anderson and a new direction cause we have little cap space now this summer.
So in reality, Dell chose Asik and Ajinca over Ryan Anderson. Good for him.

After 3 years, everyone slurped him, so this just isn't genuine.
He has made many mistakes, but again, if I could only get rid of one- I get rid of Benson

I was a supporter of his early on but his time has passed. 6 years is enough time.
I want a new, strong basketball voice in the organization.

So basically the guy everyone defers to in matters like this said no. Why is that considered a negative exactly haha??

That's hyperbole on my part to demonstrate the stupidity of the move and I sure as hell hope MM is wrong and the grand plan isn't to re-sign fricking Ryno to some genius Dell deal to trade him.
Posted on 5/17/16 at 7:25 am to ShamelessPel
They think they can get him back for around 15 mil per year. I think they will be wrong. I don't think he will be back, but that makes me even more pissed about not taking the 2018 1sts
But such is life with a poorly run, short sighted team.

I never believe things like this. I remember when we were told the team offered Greg Oden a multi-year deal at $3M per. So much misinformation gets spread in NBA negotiations that I can't take much as the "true truth." That said, even if it wasn't multiple firsts, or even a single first, they fricked up. SOMETHING was available. Instead.....nothing.

I'm so tired of hearing about the trade value bullshite.
People argued that the CP3 to Lakers deal was actually good because Dell was going to trade Odumb for Iggy.
Don't worry about shooting our whole wad on 3 ball-dominant combo guards, we're just acquiring value that will be used to replicate the Harden to Houston deal...
Last year was Ajinca/Asik. Hell, even I was guilty of defending that deal because they theoretically had future trade value under the exploding cap.
Now we're going to spend all of our chips trying to resign an aging Ryan Anderson thinking that someone may one day offer more for him than we were offered last year for his expiring contract? Suck my dick, Dell.
This franchise has zero vision. They still haven't signed a starting caliber 3 in 5 years. I would not be at all surprised if Dell resigns Anderson for over $15M and drafts 2 PFs.

We have picks 39 and 40. Could def see Dell getting a SF and center. Although, if one of thon maker, AJ Hammons, the 7-2 Chinese dude, or Zimmerman are available at 39-40 I would have to take one of those guys.
Posted on 5/17/16 at 8:46 am to MrPel
On average, 1.5 of the picks 31-40 become rotation players or better. Hoping that 39 and 40 both become actual players is a reach IMO. Odds say neither pick will matter, let alone both

Real odds say that we will draft "Cash Considerations" in the second round like we always do, which makes Asik/Ajinca even more puzzling from the top down. Ownership is willing to give out stupid contracts, and the strategy is to recoup some of that money in...the second round every year?

I would bet on a draft and stash this year. Or adding the picks to a trade that involves the 6th
Adding 3 rookies to BDJ, Frazier, etc is just not realistic. They can't be developing 5-6 guys, especially with no D League affiliate
