Why should the league and owners currently bailing this team out lose money? The only reason the team is operational right now is because of them. Do you think their intention is to really destroy the Hornets and costs themselves millions in the process?
You're making sense. What the frick are you doing here?
My real gripe is that I think there should have been some communication and coordination between the league and Demps/Monty so that things didn't appear to be such a clusterfrick and Demps could have been looking at moves that were acceptable. Of course, the reality is that the the league (Stern) wants to hand a blank slate to the new owner(s).

I am more than certain that Demps was aware of the limitations he had set in front of him. Just because some media and other trolls decided to act like he'd had his balls cut off, doesn't mean anything. Also, the deal was ridiculous and should never have even been accepted by Demps in the first place.
Why should the 27 other owners involved in carrying the Hornets be letting the Lakers and Hornets get cheap deals? Hell, the Gasol deal several years ago should never have been allowed either, and I don't care how well it later turned out for Memphis.
In the end, people need to realize that the league and owners aren't going to frick themselves over.

You really believe we won't get anything? You think he will walk away from 40+ million to make a point or stick it to the team?
