Curious what y’all think, and may be a fun topic because it doesn’t seem we will get any big fish this off-season.

Probably Reke by a smidge over Peja. Peja was better for us, but Reke was kind of shocking.

I thought Peja was going to be washed up with us, but he came and played his heart out. Love that guy. I was a HUGE Kings fan before the Hornets moved here.
And I think our new draft pick can be very similar to Peja for us. A movement shooter who never quits working and making defenders chase him.

Peja was a huge signing.
I can't remember if it was a signing or trade, but James Posey was considered a huge get at the time. Sucks that no one realized he was washed up at that point.

JJ was nice. Peja probably tops us.

Peja
Tyreke was an RFA so we had to be willing to pay AND give Sacramento the bag for him.

Literally the second free agency started that year, it was reported we were meeting with Reke. I was shocked. That thread was legendary

Probably Solomon Hill

The correct answer is James Posey. Everyone (national media included) thought the Posey signing was the move that would get us over the top.
Reke was a big name, but many on this board saw him for what he was as a player at the time. It was a splashy signing and nothing more.

I say this thread title and got excited to answer, then once I thought about it I got sad.
Our FA signings are horrible, we are not a FA destination. Considering some of the players we have had it’s crazy we can’t get anyone here outside of the draft.
But, I do live in New Orleans and understand why no young millionaire would want to come here.

I think the correct answer is Tyson Chandler.

I liked the Rondo signing

Doesn’t seem to be an issue for the football team
Idk what the specific difference is between these professional football athletes vs professional basketball athletes mindsets, but whatever the difference is, it’s large, unfortunately for small market basketball fans.
