Why do you continue to assume he is limited to Clint Capela, that’s why everyone keeps saying that he is projected to be able to shoot again you are now being a troll frick you lol

Apparently my takes are bad because I’m not sold on a guy who can’t shoot just developing a shot
That is correct. You're assumption that a 19 year old who shoots well from the free throw line, and in workouts knocks down mid range jumpers with nice form and looks smooth doing it not being able to develop a shot, is a bad take.
and i'm not even saying he won't be a bust. The likelihood anyone we take at 8 is a bust is pretty high.

Yeh your takes are horrible. Wayyyy off base

which part do you disagree with?
I don’t think he will be like Turner, and disagree with everyone just assuming he will develop a shot. I think guys like Hayes need to be on a team surrounded by shooters. That’s my stance.
And I know you could say well they are still building. I get that, but Ingram and Ball are young, seemingly part of the future, and not reliable 3 point shooters. So they will have to replace young starters they just traded for to make the pieces fit, which I don’t think at this moment can just be assumed they will do.

You know it’s possible for Hayes and Zion to exist together, right?
Blake Griffin averaged 20ppg next to DeAndre Jordan (paint clogger) at a time when all Blake could do was dunk and shoot a poor percentage from mid.
You’re only looking at one approach for Hayes to work in the Pels system when there’s tons.

How the frick am I a troll? People agree with my overall idea of team building. The disagreement comes on what we think Hayes will become. Guys like Hayes bust quite often.
Being okay at free throws doesn’t automatically mean he will be a good shooter. It’s merely a stat used to project if a poor shooter has a chance of possibly developing a shot. Y’all are using it to say a guy who didn’t shoot at all will develop a shot.
Posted on 6/21/19 at 2:19 pm to landrywasbeast30
He doesn’t have to be a good shooter to be good though
Posted on 6/21/19 at 2:21 pm to theducks
The only way they can’t coexist is if they can’t switch. If they play against a stretch big, Zion will probably switch off and Hayes will remain in the key. The defensive side of things play a bigger role imo. Team won’t be able to clog the paint if Hayes is on the backside waiting for an alley opp or pass as the defense collapse on Zion. Lob city did that for years.

Problem is most of these people accept the opinions of a handle full of posters on this board and will agree with them no matter what..we fighting a battle we can't win when our opinions are based off the current roster and the player that Hayes actually is not what he can maybe become in 2025

No one is assuming this. You're the one making the assumptions.

your stance is dumb. No one knows what Griffin's plan is, what this team will look like in a few years, what Hayes will be.
7 foot rim runners that protect the rim and play defense and can knock down FTs are always valuable, in any era.

You seem to be under the impression that this team is the finished product.
I’ve answered this a bunch of times. I haven’t said this or implied it.
I’m under the impression that if they have to put shooters in the lineup, that involves replacing 3 projected starters, including 2 young guys who are supposed to be big parts of the future. Am I supposed to assume Ingram and Ball will be replaced?

Well trolling is playing dumb.
And your still ignoring the point of looking at a players ft percentage. So Im assuming your not a moron. So therefore its easy to assume that your purposefully ignoring the reason the FT line % is relevant.
Also 74% ft for a big is not average. Its far better than that. And its an indicator that he can shoot 3’s etc. Now we’re all saying the same thing to you. See how its easy to say your trolling??

Don't think about it like this. This board exists to share information. If you disagree with the majority opinion then state why as well as you can, let your argument stand on it's own, and leave it at that. Don't think of it as losing an argument, think of it as planting a seed.
The people on this board want good information. If you see something before everyone else you'll have an uphill battle convincing others, but we'll eventually follow you there if you're right.

Your arguments are based on random Ed O statements that make no sense....oh and your long tenure of playing basketball.
If you want people to respect your opinion, don't say weirdly stupid shite like that

You don't play with 10 people, you play with 5, and two of their starters, who all averaged over 32mpg in the playoffs, didn't shoot 3's at all, in Marion and Chandler
Okay. I said this was before all the small ball, stretch 5, spread the court with shooters stuff started. At yet that team still fit and had a nice mix of everything.
Posted on 6/21/19 at 2:34 pm to Hester Carries
My argument is based off this roster
Ball- can't shoot yet
Jrue- good shooter not great
Ingram- getting better but not a good shooter yet
Zion-biggest knock on him is shooting
Hayes-cant shoot or "wasn't allowed to"
When the best shooter on your team is Moore that is a problem

Is the 4 out 1 In offense the only offense you think exists in the NBA? That’s about all I’m getting from your posts. You can continue trolling now.
