As I said in a previous thread.

We want Celtics package first.

Lakers and knicks were middle tier

If we aren’t able to find a third team, the lakers deal makes the most sense in terms of trade able assets.

Is this what Griffin wants? If we want a Celtics package first, why would the Lakers deal make the most sense? Does he want a 3rd team even with a Celtics deal?

If it were me I’d aim for Tatum, Beal and some filler.

I’ll put it like this, as it’s my best way of explaining what I meant.

1. Griffin wants Celtics deal. He wants Tatum. Celtics won’t part with Tatum.
2. If the Celtics offer stands, it’s everything we want minus Tatum.
3. If we cannot find a third team to trade with, then the lakers package most likely suits what griffin wants..compared to the package of the Celtics.

So without a third team getting into the mix, we would likely take the Lakers deal over any, unless the Celtics either include Tatum or find a third team willing to give up hefty assets.

So, Ainge reneged on his promise to include Tatum? That does not sound like him.

The Celtics are playing hardball with Tatum. Hopefully, they give in and we can get this over with.

How can that be? Supposedly we want an all-star, a player that has potential to be an all-star and multiple draft picks. Seems they would not be offering the first two items.

The Celtics package is horrible without Tatum

If so, there is no deal to be made with Boston. It would be embarrassing to accept a deal centered around Hayward or Brown and a future pick.

Yeah, if no Tatum is true at all it’s almost like Ainge doesn’t really want to trade for AD.

If true, Griffin must just be trying to use the threat of the Celtics to get the Lakers to find a 3rd team with a real asset.

so then its not what we want at all?

that would be like ordering a burger, they give it to you fully dressed but with no meat, and say well its everything you wanted.

And CajunMD should not have posted this info publicly if he’s for real. Don’t give away our pretend leverage. You better be an alter making shite up.

I don't see how a celtics package that does not include tatum is better than the Lakers.
