He hasn't played me. I'm as bought in on Zion as he is bought into trying. I'm closer to dangling Zion than most people. I just think he's a blessing and a curse as currently bought-in. He is such a unique piece that you have to build a Frankenroster around him, and he's good enough to justify it when he is consistently playing. When he isn't going close to top speed, though, you are left with a Zion-sized hole in your roster that nobody can fill. Guys end up having to play entirely different roles while he's out, then adjust back to Zion Ball when he returns. It's just going to always be hard to win consistently like that.
And I get the intrigue, if he figures it out, or even peaks at the right time, this team can make some noise. I just don't have any faith in that happening given a decent sample size. At this point, I'll just enjoy the ride while it lasts.
