as much as i hate to say it the o-line has been highly overrated. for a back like bush he need good size lanes to run in. the pass protection has been horrid brees has been in hell of trouble.

Agreed that Reggie was not the sole cause or reason for the loss. There is plenty of blame to go around. The defense was terrible stopping the run and Roman Harper was a victim all day by a washed up journeyman QB.

That said, Reggie is welcome back at a reduced rate (3.5 - 4 million due to his reduced role), otherwise cut him loose and get some help on defense.

We need starting DT, DE & 2 LB's. We should do our best too keep our offense intact. We need to keep L. Moore, D. Thomas, C. Nicks, and see what we can do to bring along Tennant and C. Brown as starters next year. If Pierre Thomas (said to want S. Jackson money?)doesn't get his contract demands straight we will also be in the market for a starting caliber RB. If we lose Bush & P. Thomas then I would love to see us get M. Ingram, otherwise we should look to draft LB / DT / DE in the first 2 rounds.

If you score 36 points on the road, you should win.
End of story.

A bunch of tards on this board.

He'll be on this team next year and he will make all 11.8mil. This is a fricking business not a fantasy team. Bush makes too much money for the franchise to consider releasing him.

And we dent lose because of him. We lost because he wasnt use effectively.

I am not trying to jump on with him, but an argument could be made that you could have signed some better defensive FAs if we had not spent all of that money on RB.

Just saying.

Yea, we need to use that money to get someone who runs north and south instead of east and west towards the sidelines.....

I agree. I've never seen a DB ever be abused as bad as Harper was this game. Makes you wonder what the rest of the OCs in the league were seeing to not go after the guy all year. Hopefully he signs with ATL in the offseason.

Seattle's offense had been pretty fricking bad

D was 1000x worse than Reginald.

Made Hasselbeck look like Brady

You could easily cut loose of Bush and pick up Jaquizz Rogers from Oregon St in the draft and essentially have the same player without all the injury history, and massive price tag.

Again, I am not blaming him for the loss. But, there is life without Reggie Bush. He certainly has value on our team, but costs way too much money for what he produces and is fragile. He is always hurt. You cannot give $8 or $11 million to someone that misses as many games as he does. I doubt very seriously he is on the team next year.

Oh, and this was his time to shine. He comes up lame in the game he is scheduled to produce big for us. Julius Jones a garbage heap retread RB was a much larger part of the gameplan than Reggie, and that was before he pulled up. Say what you want, but that is the facts. I think this speaks volumes that the coaching staff knew they couldn't depend on him and turned to J. Jones.

And he certainly didn't help the offense score any points. Actually took points off the board.

If you're making a list of people to blame, he is definitely on that list.

no but he dropped 7 and we lost by 4. do the math

41-36= 5 ; 5>4

Reggie did not help the cause, but he wasn't used well either. I never thought he was 100% this year anyway.

There's a lot of if's and but's in a game.

The bottomline is we lost by 5, and not 4.

i love the reggie bash threads.

we scored over 30 points. The defense gave up probably one of the most embarrassing plays in NFL playoff history with the run to Lynch. Roman harper gets burned at least 3 times, AT LEAST 3.

And people want to blame Reggie Bush, a guy who was coming back from having a fricking fractured tib fib? A severely fractured tib fib? Seriously?

I'm in the "Reggie isn't worth the money" crowd, but please. You blame the defense on this one, period. We gave up over 40 pts to the Seahawks. If you would've said that before we played the game, you would've said that there would've been no way we win this game. Period.
