Am I the only one who thinks it's time to part ways with Toon? I'd take both Meachem and Tanner over him at this point.

Besides the block in the back, he hasn't done anything bad in the games. He picked up a first down last week. We have so many weapons, it's going to be hard for everyone to shine during games. People were ready to let Morgan go last week, and then he had a big game this week. Who knows, Toon could have one against the Colts. He hasn't done anything to make me want to cut him.

Why? And keep who? Tanner? Tanner has been hurt most of camp. You think he brings more to the than Toon?

Colston
Stills
Cooks

That's your top 3. You also have Graham, who is the PRIMARY receiver, and we do our fair share of screens.

The 4th receiver isn't going to get a whole lot of touches.

For reference, last year our top 4 receivers were 70+. That was Colston, Graham, Sproles and Thomas. The next two were Moore and Stills, and they were both in the 30's. You'll see more receptions go to the WR's this year, and they'll be more commitment to the run game.

Cutting Toon wouldnt be a good move if we're trying to infuse some youth at WR down the line. Meachem was non existant in the passing game. Colston is getting older. We need a guy like Toon around.

Toon is more useful than Tanner imo. If someone gets hurt we can always pick Tanner back up.

Strozier is easily a better runner than Cadet. I could see him replacing Cadet next year after PS this year. Cadet pretty much has him beat at everything else right now. I like Stozier in a year or 2. He'll be valuable if he can get better at pass protection

I don't see how Meachem makes the team. If he does, CSP has some type of love for the guy.

Post game 3 and recent cuts bump.

I just tried it again, with some noticeable changes.

I swapped Griffin for McCown. I think we can get Griffin to the PS.

I put Stills on IR, with the designation to return. It's better that he get's completely healthy and help us for a latter season push.

For some reason, Eric Martin was on the roster.

Our WR's are not ideal, but Graham is going to take a lot of catches, and you'll have the backs getting their fair share.

The running game starting off strong is key.

You waived Derrius Brooks?
You crazy?

Butler practiced today (walkthroughs). I don't think they cut him.

Stills isn't that hurt and he would have to miss the first 8 weeks. No way that happens.

Not a bad roster otherwise. I might have about 3 differences.

Who would be your extra 2 PS players?

He may be our PS CB but he won't make the 53.

Wade getting hurt opened up the PS spot for either Brooks or Dixon.

Means nothing, especially when it was reported that he didn't do anything meaningful after walkthrough.

Honestly I think he'll get the IR- Designated to Return. No real reason to use it on a FB and Johnson looks ready to take on that role anyway.

Nobody else is really worth using it on except maybe Fortt but I think he "redshirts" on regular IR.

I've never been a fan of Trevin Wade.

Stills isn't that hurt
I'm not so sure.
This is the same damn injury.
He's now re-injured himself twice.

It's unclear when he will get actually healthy.

Not saying I've been either, but the coaches had him playing more than Sweeting last year and he was definitely in line as the 6th CB throughout preseason.

Same reason why I don't see Toon getting cut. Coaches see something us fans don't, right or wrong.

Edit:
I should also add that the team was real high on Brooks last year before he got hurt and put on IR. Pretty sure he would have beat out Sweeting had he stayed healthy.

Won't take 8 weeks. No way they go that route.

But I've been wrong before.

Nice job paddy.
I think senio will never make it to the PS with several teams needing OL help. Two of the worst in our own div. Hope its possible to keep him.
RGIV to the PS would be a crap shoot but if they think McCown is legit at his age then fine. World won't end if RGIV is swiped.
As everyone else i don't like our 4th-5th WR choices with Stills out.
Lets hope they see something in Coleman or Toon.

PS very glad that Morgan is playing well. A nice sleeper weapon for CSP.
Would be interesting if warren goes to PS.

Probably Coleman and Johnson, and pray the light comes on.

I do think Coleman has very nice potential. Work on his hands and his routes for a year or two and he could be a solid contributor.

I don't think the lights will ever come on for Rufus. He shows some flashes(less than other guys that have been cut in the past) but is wildly inconsistent.

But not much else to work with in terms of Dlinemen so he's probably the best bet to be on the PS. This rookie UDFA class has been mostly disappointing.
