It is crazy.. I paid $9.50 for a brisket sandwich last night that was like eating rubber mixed with fat on stale bread.

Which really means, $10 for a beer cause you're after the $1 tip and the .50 that you end up dropping on the ground or just saying frick it and give him a $1.50 tip
My friend just puts a flask of this lime liqour in his back pocket and gets in everytime. We pour a little in our 10 dollar beers and it's like bud light lime.

After all, how much would it suck to be a Dallas Cowboys fan? They get assraped in every way possible for the right to be fans.
True dat.
If you got Terrace Season tickets in 2006 you could still bring a family of 4 to a Saints game TODAY for $100.
$25 per ticket, free parking in CBD or WHD, drink before game and use water fountains at the dome (or sneak in a flask), sneak in snacks in your wife's purse and/or eat after the game as a family in one of the best restaurants in the world.

Not my flask. I take what I can get when I'm paying 10 bucks a beer.

Let me start by saying that I have been in the service industry for a number of years, and put myself through college on tips.
That said, I was at a hornets game last year and paid for a beer with a $10 bill. The guy asked me how much change I wanted, and when I said all of it, he looked at me like I was the scum of the earth.
I don't tip beer men in the stadium/arena for a couple reasons.
1. When the Saints charge $8.50 for a beer, I can't afford, or don't want to afford a penny more for anything. So don't look at me like I'm an arse, thank the Saints for taking your tip.
2. Beer Men ALREADY make commission on each beer they sell! They get paid PER BEER. Not sure how much it is, but I bet its about $.25 per, and thats in addition to being paid whatever their wage is. If they expect a $1 tip for every damn beer, that's ridiculous.

I am of the feeling that if you can afford to attend a game and pay for the beer, tip the guy $1 that is bringing you a beer while you sit in your damn seat.

How does this surprise anyone? Did you not rxprct the fans to absorb the cost of all the upgrades to the Dome?
Didn't the state pay for most of the upgrades?

FEMA, state, NFL all paid for it.

Drink water, act stupid, enjoy the game. Same results, no hangover.

this is life, things come your way that you may not like
it bothers me when someone complains about the price of something when they have choosen to go...did they force you to buy a beer?
did they force you to buy anything?
if it's so awful that you want to start a thread about it, then maybe you shgould chose to not go....or not buy

They paid over $100 mil to renovate the dome after the hurricane.

beers at any sporting event in California range from $8 to $12. Welcome to the pain the rest of the nation has been feeling for like 10 years.

I didn't want to make a new thread.
But it was defintely $9 for a large beer in the club section area, not the lounge but the concourse outside.
Where was this $8.50 nonsense?

Yes but we are talking about the $85 million UPGRADES that have just been completed. Not the renovations
Posted on 8/13/11 at 5:34 pm to jacks40
some of the renovations to the Dome have been paid by taxpayers

officials say Louisiana will have spent $305 million on the building since 2005.

The current work will complete a renovation project that came as part of the 15-year lease extension between New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson and the state of Louisiana that was reached in 2009
