McCray was invisible except for one big hit on Warner and one big illegal hit on Favre.

guys like McBride, Charleston, and Jordan will now have to step the what up now unless they plan on targeting cuts. Good luck to him

Alex Brown did nothing here. He was a Grant clone.

With the release of Alex Brown, look for Cam Jordan to get the 1st crack at the #Saints' starting LDE spot. He's been playing well recently.

Brown took just about every snap with starters in practice and preseason games. I'd expect a combo of Cam Jordan/Turk McBride to replace him

And now the #Saints may have room to keep both Jeff Charleston and Junior Galette as backups.

Alejandro is a huge douche bag and he should never be allowed at #Saints games or on #Saints Talk again!!

PFT-
“It was a hard decision,” Payton said, via quotes distributed by the team. “We spent a lot of time on it. A lot goes into it, and I said this to him today, [that] it wasn’t that we drafted a young player at that position. I think you try to factor in all the practice snaps and all the game film. It was something that after going through it all and looking at the timing of it, there’s still that opportunity within this next week that he’ll have a chance to sign with someone else and also that door is not totally shut if that opportunity presents itself here. Nonetheless, it was a hard decision we had to make. He was the one veteran player that of course has been with us.”
Brown was cut by the Bears last year after eight seasons with the team. He has appeared in all but one regular-season game during his career.
Cutting Brown now gives him a fair chance to land elsewhere. Given Payton’s willingness to consider bringing him back, it’s also safe to infer that Brown was offered a reduced contract in lieu of being cut, and that he declined.

As far as if/when Will Smith gets suspended they can always bring back Alex Brown or bring in another guy after the season starts or closer to the date smith may get suspended as then his salary won't be guaranteed.

I'm suprised some of you guys are worried really. Jeff Charleston was easily are second best DE last year. He made plays and pressured the QB at times. Brown did nothing.
Have fun spending the money Alex

I think McBride starts at the first of the year and Cam takes over as starter about week 5-6.

DA BEARS might bring back Alex.
