The fact that Fuaga as a rookie looked as capable or even better at LT than at RT this year lends me to believe he had a issue this year.
People just overrated Fuaga in his rookie year b/c of hopium.
He was competent, and flashed, but his play was not elite overall. His 2nd year was more of the same. Competent but nowhere near elite.

Right, moving 1.14 to guard is effectively drafting a guard.
You're engaging in the sunk cost fallacy, my friend.

Proctor next to Banks is a beefy left side lol
I think David Edwards/ at LG, Fuaga at right and Mauigoa at RT would work out pretty damn well.
But I'm starting to see Mauigoa's ADP creep up the last few mocks I've seen

Francis Mauigoa is going to have the same arm length issues as Fuaga with 33 inchers. No sure thing at tackle. Don’t think Fano will be there... seems nice but I haven’t dug in.The question is are they upgrades to Fuaga?
Nonetheless I’d draft multiple OL this year, I’m not against it.

33 inch seemed to be the mean on the draft profile table I looked at even though people said those were short. That seems about average..
I just looked up Mauigoa and it says he has 31 and 3/4
At least it's better than Bain at 30 and 3/4
ETA
crisis averted. there is a linebacker with the same name that is 31 and 3/4

Hendrickson only has 32" arms and we would all love to have him back.

It is slightly different for edge vs OT just for discussion purposes. on average, tackles are .6" longer than edge players (34.1 vs. 33.5) and both have a 1" standard deviation

If Bain falls in our lap we better take him, it's plenty of FA and undrafted RBs to choose from.

We aren't going to complete our roster build for a SB run this offseason.
I don’t expect that. Team needs help everywhere. But Your new QB desperately needs other players to take the pressure off of him.

No, they need a CB1. Not sure they guy is there at 1.8

Have to disagree it I don't think its devalued as much as the game of the NFL has changed. Bell cow 40 carry a game RBs are a thing of the past. In the past teams built offenses around that type of player so there was a need to go get that player sooner rather than later.
Ultra athletic, high ceiling RBs will always go in the first round and in the top ten. What you don't see anymore is the grinder type back that wears out a defense as a priority position anymore.

Give me a playmaker on offense or a pass rusher all day over a potential CB1. I agree with Lester we need more talent there but our only above average pass rusher at the moment is Chase Young.

Maybe. Curious how he measures. Reported that he has really short arms

We have a lot of needs, hard to be conclusive about which most important and FA will determine a lot of draft strategy. That said, to categorize my 1.8 thoughts.
Please please yes: Reese, Bain, Bailey, Love
I’m good with it: Tate, Downs, Delane, McCoy, Lemon
Hope I”m wrong: Tyson
Meh: Fano, Mauigoa, Styles, Sadiq
Please please no: Woods, Faulk

I dont think we need elite tackles. Now elite IOL, thats the sweet spot
I like the idea of moving Fuaga to guard and draft an OL at 1.8 to move to RT. However, I would also like edge/DB/WR at that position if they feel it fits the system. I would prefer that but if they go OL I wouldn't be shocked or hurt.
