Boy, Deke is being a dick tonight on WWL point after show. What is his problem?

His problem is that he IS a dick. He's always a dick when he's on the air, but you're correct, last night was worse than usual.
Some guy called in - hoarse, pumped up from the win, maybe a little bit drunk - talking about Mauti's punt and TD. He asked Deke something like, "How excited did you get when that happened? The dome was rocking!" fricking Deke says, "I got excited when the last TD brought the total to 52."
The Saints play a great game for the first time all season and the radio "host"/degenerate gambler can only think about the money he bet on the Over/Under. Deke is a total fricking a-hole.

"Can someone teach Deke the difference between 'good' and 'Well'"?
"Get this assclown off the air"
Deke, please do not talk down to the people that are supporting your show.
Also, have a conversation with the people and have a good time for crying out loud.
If you can't stand the callers, please do us all a favor and retire...

It is absolutely amazing that an addiction recovery clinic has now used him as their radio voice to lure new clients in for business.
You just don't use the same guy who gets excited over the "Taah Break-uh Bur-gah", no matter what sort of desperate circumstances you might find yourself in.

Deke specifically talked about the win. What the Saints did well this game. And one caller called in to shite on them for a few things they need to correct. And Deke got on him.

Deke is a Dick.
I called after the West Virginia-LSU game in 2010 because he was ripping the Tigers and it was totally uncalled for. I made a couple of good points and he knew I had him beat so he hung up on me. What a douchebag.
The 2010 Tigers ended up having a great season, minus the Arkansas slip up. LSU also beat Bama, which he said the "Tigahs don have a snowball's chans in hale" of doing, so I felt like my points were validated.

Yeah it happened after the Auburn game last year. At first I thought he was being sarcastic, then I thought he was drunk. It was pretty entertaining until I found out he was having health problems.
I know I should listen to Charlie Hanagriff on the iHeartRadio app after LSU games, but there is something sacred in listening to the Big 870 on terrestrial radio.

They have some better radio talent out there locally that should replace him. T-Bob being the first choice. Christian Garic is better. Maybe one of the guys from 690 that had that 3pm show that got canned. At least get guys that want to talk about and have a back and forth conversation about the finer points of sports.

It was not the Saints vs Jets game. The Saints didn't play the Jets last year. We played them in 2013, but it happened in Oct 2014.

When WWL was thrown into the task of replacing Buddy D, I thought Deke was their best option. He's turned out to be a boring Ahole. T Bob is much better. T Bob and Mike D would make a good combination.
