I'm 100% down for Lemon, at this point. It seems all the analytics value him and nobody thinks he'll be bad. He just may not be elite.
In the 2nd we could get lucky and have a Zion Young slide or we can go big brained and look at a guy like AJ Haulcy, or an IOL depending on who falls.

Agree. If we can’t get Reese, Bailey, Styles then Lemon all the way. I’d be ok with Tate too although my preferences is Lemon.
Second round there’ll still be some combo of very solid CB (Johnson, Ponds, Scott), S (Haulcey), EDGE (Young, Lawrence), LB (Rodriguez, Hill Jr) talent to choose from to help the defense.

Kind of thinking the same thing if we can’t get one of the top defenders. He would add a much needed element to this offense.

Downs not working out scares me. Being super smart in college means he'll likely be super smart in the NFL, but to really be valuable he needs to be that prototypical 3rd safety that is both LB, S, and NB. The guys currently doing it are a LOT bigger than him, and I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he showed he was an elite athlete (to go with the football IQ and mental work he clearly engage in), but he refused to work out which is a red flag.
Just not worth the risk at 8 for a safety who doesn't fit that mold.

Obviously things are fluid and can change. But Adam Shefter doesn’t seem convinced that love goes 4 or 5. Cleveland would be stupid to draft him at 6 considering the other major needs they have. Washington? Could see it but they need defense bad.
Would the Saints still pull the trigger on Love after signing Etienne?

I think Omar Cooper is a better version of Lemon. Cooper is just so bendy and fluid in and out of routes, and after the catch just find spaces like a smooth RB.
Lemon is choppy and herky/jerky. He is good at creating angles but is laborious runner and rarely converts those angles to TDs. He's not Jarvis Landry but he's closer to Jarvis Landry than the is the common comp of Steve Smith JR i think.
But I would prefer Tate at 8 if they take a WR.

I have to agree that I don't see a huge difference between lemon or Cooper. 8 seems high for lemon. I'd rather take Cooper with a later pick.
I honestly wouldn't take any of these receivers at 8 though.

Love Kyle Louis but unlikely there at 73 and 42 feels like we’ll find someone who is much higher on our list who dropped

Omar Cooper is my favorite WR of the draft.
He's sort of that blend of Tyson/Tate/Lemon all in one package. Not big but plays big. Faster than what you think. He's got that dog in him.
