2023:
Didn’t score a touchdown against the Bucs in a 26-9 loss
Down 24-9 to Jacksonville entering the 4th
Down 27-3 to Minnesota with 5 minutes in the 3rd before Jameis threw a touchdown
Didn’t score a touchdown in a 24-15 loss to Atlanta
Down 24-7 against the Lions at halftime
Down 30-7 against the Rams 3 minutes into the 4th
2024:
Couldn’t do shite on offense against Philly despite the defense/special teams giving him great field position the whole game. McCoy did get injured, however.
Horrible interceptions against the Chiefs
Rest of the year is kind of a blur because he was in and out of the lineup, but it boils down to a lot of empty stats. Couldn’t do anything until the game was basically over then he pop out a 4th drive to pad some stats. QBR is a flawed stat, but he had 12 games out of 27 with a sub 50 QBR. So he had some highs, but the lows were really low.

Winston had an RTG of 57.4 in relief duty that year, more than 20 points lower than his second lowest RTG of his career. You think maybe the offensive problems had something to do with the head coach running the show and an OC who didn't really want to be there and had lost his ingenuity for designing and calling plays?

Carr is the king of empty yards. Most them yards are when the game is over.

There is no doubt that he has starting NFL QB talent.
His intangibles were abysmal.
Everyone knows this around the league, he’s done.

Add in 2023 he was not on the same page with the receivers and was yelling at them.
Lack of execution, in general or the redzone seems to be someone else problem not his.

Reports were that both Cincy and Indy reached out to him last year after their starters went down with injuries. Kellen Mond said that the Vikings wanted Carr back in 2023, so if there is any smoke to Minnesota looking at him now, it would make sense.

Unwarranted hate. Even on the play he hurt his shoulder on, he tried to make a play for a first down and tried to jump for it and got injured trying to help the team. Instead of "fans" seeing it for that they blasted him talking about how stupid he was. My thoughts were always that he was better than average but not great. He just wasn't a playmaker, more like a semi-high level game manager and everyone acts like Josh Allens and Mahomes grow on trees.

As others have said it was a combination of so many things.
* His contract didn't make sense for us based on our cap space and roster configuration at the time.
* He didn't seem to always have the best attitude or get along great with his teammates.
* He got guys hurt a few times.
* He never seemed to have any big performances against quality opponents or when the game was close and up for grabs.
This game was a prime example of the last point. It was essentially a playoff game, the Saints were 7-7 heading into that game and facing a quality opponent. A win would give the Saints the inside track on the division, a loss would effectively end any chance of making the playoffs. If you looked at Carr's final stat line you'd probably think he had a good game.
27 for 40. 315 yards. 3 TD, 1 INT. 106.1 rating.
But he didn't have a good game. The Saints offense could barely get anything going for 3 quarters and were down 30-7 early in the 4th quarter. Then he spent the 4th quarter racking up stats against a soft, prevent defense (2 touchdowns and over 100 yards passing). That game pretty much encapsulated the Carr experience in New Orleans.
Need a win, don't get it, don't start balling until it's too late, walk away with a decent looking stat line.

It felt like there were several games he had a chance to win, or score - and never came through.

Yea, if he had started this whole season i feel like we might have maybe won one more game. I liked how he was playing at the beginning of last season before the OL and Taysom and Shaheed injuries started piling up. He also could have done a lot more off the field to help himself out. I think a lot of fans (and probably even teammates) also associated him as “DA’s guy” which just made it worse.

Yeah, QBR is not great, but it's not bad enough to explain that insanity. WTF.
