Worth what?! Worth f***ing what? We don’t have the ammo. We’d have to trade three years worth of picks plus something else. Bengals don’t want Michael Thomas’ contract. Lattimore and Kamara are towards the end of their contracts. What else are you offering. None of this is realistic.
It’s not happening!
It can’t realistically happen!
Stop with the dumbass threads! We all like Joe Burrow. We’d all love him as a Saint.
It. Ain’t. Happening.
Move On.

You are rampaging against this, but calm the frick down and consider-
We have maybe 2 years of Brees left. When he's gone, we are left with
A) Teddy Bridgewater- that's assuming we resign him. And if we do, we may not be resigning Brees!
b) Taysom Hill- an intriguing physical specimen, older then Teddy, but way less developed.
c) some random free agent or lucky draft pick.
If we come to C in particular, do you think it matters who else is on the team? You gonna sit back and wait for Lawrence from Clemson- he's going to command a high price too. You gonna gamble on Tua- he's going to still require moves to be made, and he might never be able to play afterwards.
Fromm? Hurts?
Some people are pissy when Burrow's name is mentioned, because the price is high... others because he's from LSU.
The price will always be high for an elite guy. And while it's great that he's at LSU from my fan standpoint (as an LSU fan), as a Saints fan I don't care if he's from Guam- the fact is that he looks like a near-clone of Brees from the early years. He's as close to plug-and-play to our system as anyone I've ever seen.
We need to make a move soon, whatever direction we go. Nobody is going to drop into our lap, we have to go get someone. Or else, we risk falling off for a lot longer than just a couple of years.

Lol idiot. Brees will be resigned until he retires. Retard.

Would Teddy plus a first and second get us there?

Who's your Saints QB in 2022? Brees will be 43, you sure he's still here? If you're Loomis, are you willing to bet your franchise full of young studs that he will be, and can still throw?
If not, who is it? NOT Bridgewater- he's going to be a free agent this year, as well as Brees. We're not signing both, not if Bridgewater gets an offer to start somewhere, and he's just proven he can do that and win. He'd be an improvement over probably 6 other QBs currently, and I think someone will pull the trigger.
Or do you plan on getting the high draft pick the normal way, by collapsing, and hoping someone is coming out that year that we can get?
These ain't questions for next decade, they're things we have to address damn soon.

The ST regulars are just tired of having this conversation. It’s not that the price to move up is high...it’s astronomical. It’s three years of picks and a star player and some cash and an OT 10.
Id love to get Joe Burrow. It’s just not happening.
If you want to talk about Jordan Love, sure, that’s in the realm of reality. I just haven’t seen that thread here.

Let Burrow go to Cincy to start, play out his rookie contract, and then return to Louisiana. It worked out pretty well for us when he first went to Ohio St

You go back in time to 2003 or so and tell patriots
You can have Brady until 2020 if you give up 2 years of picks
If not you will have sucky qbs
The problem is you are comparing Tom Brady to Joe Burrow.... let that sink in how homerish that sounds.

And with a draft position in the high 20's (at least) and no 2nd round pick we are very easy to outbid.
