Because in the five years in New Orleans he’s been a pretty upstanding representative of the New Orleans Saints and in general a decent human being that out of all the goombas on the Saints I would give the benefit of doubt too.

If this were Drew people wouldn’t second guess it.

You are 100% spot on. Kamara has been nothing but a class act with us so I’ll always have his back while the court of public opinion is out.

Sadly, you know exactly what the difference is here for many people. Sad lives some of the posters on this site lead, get over yourselves and get with the times.

Kamara is only human. I agree he should have planned beforehand in case of an altercation, but to say he is a "dipshit" is a bit strong. Dude is about as squeaky clean of a pro athlete as you can imagine, and twice as nice. The "victim" likely antagonized him until his breaking point, and/or got in his face. A person can only take so much before they finally deal with it. And it were a female, they would have put that in the title of every article.

I think you can pretty much guarantee this incident will quietly disappear with no charges prosecuted. The victim will either accept a pay day to drop charges or the nightclub or other powers of Vegas will "clean it up".

That does sound like something AK would do just to do it. Lets wait to hear all the details. I'd say the "victim" will actually turn out to be the instigator.

If you don’t remember the controversy leading up to Las Vegas finally getting an NFL franchise this article will explain it to you.

"Alvin Kamara, the New Orleans Saints’ star running back, was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas for a felony charge of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, according to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He was released from the Clark County Detention Center later that day after posting a $5,000 bond, and his next court date is scheduled for March 8, according to a jail official.

On Saturday, the eve of the Pro Bowl, the N.F.L.’s annual All-Star exhibition game, the police responded to a hospital where a victim reported being battered in a nightclub, according to the statement. An investigation identified Kamara as the assailant, according to the statement, and the police arrested him “without incident” after he played in the Pro Bowl.

Money grab by some dude. AK will pay some money, but nothing to see here.

This didn't age well...he is in trouble

Why is kamara even in the Pro bowl when his numbers were pretty average numbers last year and that was even with an extra game.

First, I take it you don't understand how pro bowl selection works and that is one of the reasons why fans don't take the game seriously and second Kamara's numbers are pretty average because he missed several games yet still had almost 1500 yds. combined. He missed almost a quarter of the season.

Which is another reason why he shouldn't even be there. If you hurt half the year, you shouldn't still make the Pro bowl taking the honor away from somebody who actually played all year and deserved it. This league gets more and more retarded every year.

Wow. This is a dumb statement. So if Brady is hurt and missed 3 games but still puts up great numbers, he shouldn’t be allowed in the pro bowl bc he missed 3 games with injury. It’s a contact sport. Injuries happen troll. This does not exempt someone in anyway from the pro bowl. And guess what, some players opt not to go, therefore others are elected to go.

So who do you think was more deserving? Most of the guys with similar stats to kamara also missed several games. Devin singletary played all 17 games - should he make the pro bowl?

I get a kick out of how so many people who commented on here act like they know him, and know his character. Is he guilty? Was he attacked? Who knows. At this point, it is speculation. Do I have any reason to think he is a bad guy? Nope. Do I have any reason to think he is a good guy? Nope. When I was a little kid I looked up to talented athletes. Not just because they had talent, but as a kid, for some stupid reason, talent, without obvious reasons to doubt someone's character, equaled a good dude.
But I am no longer a little kid. Why don't we all wait until we know more facts. All we know now is that he was involved in a physical altercation. Maybe he was totally justified for beating the hell out of the guy. Maybe he was not. Why, at this point, say he is innocent, or guilty as hell? Take a breath people.

Unless you are personal friends with, or work with him, how in the world could you know that "it's not like him"?

Other than watching him run around the football field, you likely have zero knowledge of what he is "like".

And of course, someone else deserved it.

How about this:
A guy who is extremely talented at his profession, and who is easily recognizable, and who could (and perhaps now has) damage his career by putting himself in unwise circumstances should have had better sense. He has a lot to lose and little to gain by hanging in a bar in Vegas at 5 in the morning.
He's got the rest of his life after football to get in trouble, get arrested and make a fool of himself...for now, be smart and protect your investment!
