Seriously, if they ruled it incomplete and the Panthers challenged it, they would have ruled it a catch. You never know what these clowns are thinking.

The WWNFLOL is too stupid to hold the striped lemmings accountable. We had undebateable proof of this with the SHAMS no-call years ago.

I saw his hand come off the ball as he went out of bounds. Was an obvious incompletion to me.

They got the call right calling it not a catch. He used the ground to help palm the ball AFTER his other hand came off and it was CLEARLY fully contacting the ground (aka trapping the ball with the ground). fricking idiots. xD

If the ball hits the ground it should not be a catch , period.

Would be the easiest way to rule things. Just say a catch is a ball that never contacts the ground (along with the other rules of a catch). Any contact automatically makes it not a catch.

I don't mind the current way so much though, but it was clear that he trapped the ball with the ground after his other hand came off. Not sure how trapping a ball could ever be a catch.

the explanation from the broadcast crew was that you cannot use the ground to secure the football. Even though it appeared that he maintained control with his top hand, he did so with the ground supporting the ball from underneath.

It makes for a fun conversation because of how ridiculous the league’s rules are about “what is a catch”? The league has publicly stated when they missed similar plays in the past, yet remain completely silent and Florio is the only one running with it, that I’ve seen. So is the a legit issue, or another Florio article to get clicks for something that can’t be disproven

I thought it was a catch until I rewatched with James Skrmetta, and yea even the top hand was moving. Clearly a no catch.
