They're getting much better than they were (which doesn't mean they had to do a whole lot.) I'm really enjoying how Spags has been moving pieces around to get pressure unlike Williams who would do it so obviously and often

He ain't terrible at rushing the passer either.
he's already doubled last year's sack population.

All of negative talk about Jordan is very similar to the comments people used to make about Charles Grant. "If he can't get to the QB then move his slow, fat arse inside" and "He's really good against the run". But at least Grant was good for 5 or 6 sacks a year.
I don't think that it is fair to compare Grant and Jordan. With Grant, you always had to worry about his work ethic. Once he got paid, his production dropped drastically and he was gone within a few seasons of his payday.
I haven't seen anything from Jordan that makes me think that he is lazy. He doesn't take plays off. He plays through the whistle. He will continue to improve as a pass rusher and as a run defender.I think that if we can improve the players around him on the DL, he will have a bigger impact in rushing the passer.

Defensive Rookie of the Year so far, who ya got? I'd say the most favored right now is NE DE Chandler Jones. How'd they get that guy? Uh, the Mark Ingram pick they got from us (plus a 3rd rder to move up).
Thanks for the elite defensive end. We needed that
27 Tackles, 5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, amd atleast 6 TFL in 6 games

Goodell would have taken this from us anyway.

idgaf what pff says about his run stopping. He does not pass the eyeball test at DE.
Your eyeball test sucks then.

Guy is not good at pass rushing, but solid as a runn stopper!

Would you believe me if I told you the Saints have more QB sacks than the following defenses?
Dallas, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.
Well they do. Feel free to look it up if you think I'm bull shitting. I see where the 49ers got two more sacks to tonight though. That now leaves us tied with them right now at 11 total. We are also tied with New England and Pittsburgh in that category.
I always hear people bitching about the lack of talent on this defense. Sure, it isn't the best but the fact that they have gotten to the QB just as much as some of these other traditional powers on defense is surprising. So far at least

Damn dude. That's crazy. Everyone says this system will click at some point. It seems to get closer each game. I think Vitt will be the thing that puts this team over the edge and back in the game

Tampa Bay has tried to establish themselves with a power running game. I don't think that their rookie RB Doug Martin is anything to write home about. They still have Blount in the mix too. I'd be surprised if they didn't come out running. That has been a problem for us, hopefully we can get some more help from Casillas. I'm not sure what to think about Vilma. From a leadership stand point, I'm glad he's back. I just think he'll be pretty rusty out there. Cameron Jordan ought to have a big day against these guys.
Me thinks they will try and win the time of possesion and keep our O off the field. Their pass defense fricking sucks. Their run defense is very stout though.
