Dude. No.

Just like fuaga couldn't play left tackle much less right tackle. He needed to move inside too.

LG we have cheap options of lucas patrick and maybe becton in offseason that are probably better than Penning trying to get used

Becton is about to get paid by someone.

chalky, i didnt think you were a big LSU homer

There are rumors he has 32" arms lol. He is a good player but he isn't a franchise LT

I'm not an lsu Homer. I just don't think will Campbell will have to move to guard. You can have your opinion that he will.

Were you saying the same thing about fuaga last yr? I honestly don't know.

I think LT is his best spot but he’s not a sure thing will be a franchise LT no questions asked either.

Most fringe prospects will last a year or two at tackle before having to move. Especially if you’ve invested in them the way the Saints did with Fuaga and the way someone will with Campbell

I’m not saying Campbell will move but even a few weeks ago you were completely denying people were talking about this

As far as Fuaga he was great for a guy that no one thought could play LT

If you look at him through the lens that of any other true LT taken at 1.14, he played about average given the draft capital used on him.

Penei Sewell has 33’’ arms. Campbell will be fine.

Have you looked at all the defensive ends that will go in the first two rounds this year and how he did against them.

His pass blocking is elite. His run blocking is maybe average especially for the NFL. It depends on the team and what they what to do?

It's kind of nutty to jump past all the cautionary tales to say he will be fine because Penei Sewell can do it.

I am an LSU homer. I like Will Campbell. He’s a solid player.

But as many have mentioned he wasn’t a great run blocker & Kennard beat him consistently. Kennard had 1.5 sacks & 2.5 tackles for loss but he was in the backfield A LOT (I think a few times was on E Jones).

I don’t think he’s worth a top 10 pick.

Trade down a few slots, grab an extra 3rd, and take the Penn St TE

Bc I don’t think it’s as big a deal as it used to be. Sewell, Ramczyk, Mitchell Schwartz, all have been all pros with <34 inch arms in the last decade.

Whomever they have graded out the highest. At #9 in this draft, it should be a legit pro-bowler every year.

I mean i wouldnt try and compare him to RTs taken in the 30's. That is kind of my point.

There are certainly better outliers than the guys you mentioned but also a long list of guys that could not cut it. 32" arms will be a death wish if true.

Campbell? Absolutely not. It should be jeanty. Get you oline guards both of em from Georgia and what ever else. Those three picks are sure things to build a foundation on

Agree. There’s always room for improvements but the original take screams personal bias there. Campbell would be well worth #9 if he’s there!

I wouldn't take Campbell at 9. I'm happy with Fuaga at Lt and the improvement Penning showed at RT. McCoy is a great center when he is healthy and Ruiz is a serviceable RG when McCoy is on the field to give Ruiz help.

The oline needs a quality starter at LG and I think we can grab a good one in the 2nd or 3rd round.

At #9 I would take an offensive weapon or an edge rusher. I'd would like a bigger body receiver to go with Olave and Shaheed. Or we need and edge since Chase Young is likely gone, Jordan is old, and Payton Turner is a former 1st round bust.

I personally wouldn't take a RB that early like Jeanty. I hope our Rb room next year is Kamara, Clyde, and they draft Skataboo. Good riddance to the plodder Williams.
