Gyno, the list changed about 3 weeks back. The new list consists of 3 teams. Saints, Broncos & Giants.

If Wilson has it his way, there are three teams that stand out as top options for him. NFL podcaster Jordan Schultz reports that Wilson would "strongly consider" waiving his no-trade to join the Broncos, Saints or Giants.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the same thing on "NFL Gameday Live" before Sunday's NFL action.

You are correct, but left out one thing. Denver is currently coached by Vic Fangio and the Saints are coached by Sean Payton. One of those is commonly regarded (rightly or not) as a really bright offensive coach. The other is not. With a guy who can largely control where he can go, that is a huge edge for the Saints.

Also, a lot of times future picks are usually packaged together for these types of deals. There's some smoke around Pete Carroll possibly retiring as well so if Carroll retires & Wilson demands a trade, the Seahawks would be looking at a complete rebuild over the next few years. So future picks maybe just what they want & need.

Exactly. Some also wonder how safe Fangio's job is going forward. If there isn't a coaching change in Denver after this season, the threat of a change may still linger going forward. Does Wilson want to possibly deal with that? Same goes for Joe Judge in NYC. Then to top it off, Fangio & Judge simply aren't Sean Payton. Wilson has to know what playing under Payton would do for his career at this point.

Also you would have to think, after playing his whole career in Seattle, playing in a domed stadium and the NFC South should be very appealing to Russ.

That's a good point as well. Don't forget about the fact that the defense is strong too. Seattle's defense has fallen off. Bobby Wagner is the last of the old regime on the defensive side & he's probably done in Seattle as well.

I’m not sure how good a percentage it is he forces his way to the Saints, I just know it’s a legit possibility. But I would be floored if he wasn’t on a different team next year. Seattle is heading for a complete rebuild, likely with a new coach. Russ isn’t wasting his next few years there.

too much

Too much what? We’re not winning a title with JW. He’s not coming on a cheap deal either, how much do people think JW salary will be?

If you can get RW or AR, you get him. The saints win a title with either one. So when people say too much, would you rather us win a title or not? It’s already been 12 years since with a HOF QB. I’ll take one more and the shite seasons behind it if we have to, because what’s the point if you don’t win it all?

We can’t waste this defense. Brees has 3 titles minimum with this D in his prime.

Yeah, I definitely think he sees the writing on the wall. With all things considered, I like the Saints chances to get him via trade. It's gonna suck giving up draft collateral to get him though but you have to pay to play.

No douche bag, you are pulling for your team to LOSE. Period. That makes you a loser. Preferring to lose to get a few spots higher (which guarantees nothing) is absurd. Not when you have free agency to supplement the draft. “Fans” like you are a fricking disgrace.

I think Wilson is in a different boat because he can say who he goes to. Stafford wanted out of Detroit and the Rams had Goff to give them.

Wilson can name `1-2 teams and only those teams will bid against each other. So while on a normal scale Wilson might be 2 1st round picks under this scenario he is only going to be what those two teams can afford or want to pay.

What if he only says the Saints? Why give a long list and cripple the team that you are heading to? I list one team maybe two.

Want Russ so bad. I know if we’re able keep this defense intact, we compete for a SB next year if we have Russ at qb.
