I know this team has plenty of needs and Barron may not even be there in the 2nd when we pick but I remember how angry how some on this board were when Brian Branch got passed over.

Barron is a solid tackler and can play the ball.

Barron Highlight Clip (Long)

Maybe a pick like this is way out of order for what we need now but as mentioned the Saints need help just about anywhere.

Thoughts?

Would be ecstatic if he fell to the 2nd. Easily the best nickel corner in this draft and looks to be able to be a safety.

Assuming Adebo comes back on a 2-3 year deal that's cap friendly, it would allow us to keep McKinstry outside and Taylor can play either or.

Worst case, we solve the issue at nickel back.

I kinda felt like Taylor solved that issue early in the season until he was forced back outside because of injuries to Lat

Also I think it 50/50 Abedo is gone this season. I wouldn't at all be shocked to hear Will Johnson name called at #9.

This team needs players at every position. So to me just find players at the top of your board that drops to you and really really loves playing football. It's going to take 2-3 drafts so be patient and trust your scouting department. People will still melt over positions drafted but we are so thin everywhere I don't know why.
