Great game by a young Saints team. Some good play by our young players against a tough division rival. Some real strides made today.

The box SS stays put. Olave is running the most common choice route in football - it's a Go vs one-on-one coverage OR convert to a Comeback vs two-high coverage and/or a deep cushion.
Here, it is press man-on-man coverage with a single high safety. When Shough lets the ball go, Olave is neck-and-neck with the CB. If they're even, he's supposed to be leavin'.
Olave breaks off into a comeback at the exact same time that Shough lets the ball go.
If Olave runs the route to completion, it is a jump ball at the absolute worst. This ball should never be picked, but Olave made a stunning mental mistake.
