Cooks is still young, but he is obviously scared to get hit. He doesn't use his acceleration like he should. Sure, he isnt the biggest guy, but he doesn't use his best tool to his advantage.
He has little to no shake at all. Yet he seems to try and wiggle around every time he touches the ball on short passes. Kinda frustrating.

Hopefully he runs a slow 40 and falls to us.

Cooks is not a No. 1 WR. Saints need a physical No. 1 that can beat DB off the line. If the Saints had a legit No. 1 WR, Cooks would do great.

I have heard you say it before and I agree with it. Cooks is an elite WR2...I don't understand the hate he gets though. Denver is pretty happy with Emmanuel Sanders most teams love an elite WR2. Find him his no.1 and he will go off. In the meantime I still think he will have a much better 2nd half of the season. Losing Jimmy hurt and it is everyone's job to replace him. Colston/Coleman/Hill need to step up.

Too bad this is a pretty weak year draft wise to need a WR. Seems like all of the talent is on the other side of the ball.

The Eagles once went to 4 straight NFCCG's with FredEx Mitchell, Thrash, and Pinkston at WR.
They did so by using 3 RBs as the base attack of their offense. We have 3 backs with very similar skill sets.
Staley|Westbrook|Buckhalter
Ingram|Spiller|Robinson
While we may not have the same luxury as they did playing in such a crap division. The formula for success is outlined provided we commit to similar offensive ideals.
I would rather keep and commit to these backs.

There's the top 3-5 that are phenomenal. Then there are another 15-20 that have the very high upside. I'd say it's a great wr draft.

The problem is that Cooks is too short to be a consistent deep threat. Cooks' specialty is taking the short to intermediate passes in space and turning them into big gains. What is he like 5' 8"? The Saints need Brandon Coleman to break out...at 6'5" he's a match up problem for most corners especially on a jump ball or back shoulder pass.
