Sweet, for sure.

But how is he in coverage?
I ask because I'm not super familiar with him.

He was kind of known for good coverage in college, but he was pretty bad for his first 5 years in the league. He graded well last year, but I don't think he drew a ton of the difficult coverage assignments.

You dont cut Teo and Roberstson who are now perfect depth, especially at their salaries

if anything you cut Klein, he was not good last year and would save $6 mil or so on the cap this season

It should be noted that Davis is elite against the run, a good pass rusher, and considered a team leader. HOWEVER, he is not good at all in pass coverage. Not his forte and shouldn't be in coverage pretty much at all.

well you must either be able to rush passer or be good in coverage. can't be bad at both...

Jets fans all really like him. All say he is extremely fiery, vocal, and beasted out last year...but they all put the caveat that he was not great the previous few years and basically judging him on one year of success.

They also say he really improved in coverage last year even if it isn't his strong suit.

So I guess this means TE in the first now? Seemed like that was the direction all along

I still think we need another LB even though Davis is great. Klein was not good and Anzalone is always hurt.

But now with PRob and Davis we aren’t hamstrung into a particular position on D except maybe pass rusher in the draft

This video explains how the light came on for Davis after he was traded back to the Jets:

Right, but unless the pass rushing component is excellent, I think $18M over what will be 2 years is pretty pricey.

turn the tide to Okafor now. We have built this D, you are last piece.

Really hope this guy comes back healthy enough to start again. He was on course for his best year in the league ever.
Defense is getting better and still a draft to go.
Looking like a sh!tload of BPA which will cause multiple draft day TD melts

He was one of the top rated LBs in the league last year. He's a really good player.

The contract is completely fine.

My favorite. I always find the draft on here super delicious. So many melts.

What's the status on his rehab? I seriously doubt he'll be ready for camp with a torn achilles.
