Cam Jordan, Junior Gallete, Turk McBride, Tez Wilson, Akeim Hicks, and DT Walker have had really good preseasons. Add that to guys you know can turn it on in the regular season, such as Will Smith, Broderick Bunkley, Tom Johnson, etc., and I think our DLINE will actually be a lot stronger than expected in year one of Spags system. I can't wait to getting our starting secondary strong again and I think our back ups look strong there after the preseason as well. I was worried bout our secondary depth the most but now with Quddous and Amaya, backing up Harper and Jenkins, and now Marquis Johnson(#49) and Elbert Mack have got a lot of practice/reps and looked good behind Greer, Robinson, and Patrick. LB has been our only problem but I think I starting unit will be good when back together. And we can always move Tez if we get too thin. That being said, what do yall think our two deep at LB looks like this year before Vilma gets back?

Will: Casillas/ Shanle
Middle: Lofton/ Humber ( who is out 3 games)
Sam: Hawthorne/Herring

Who do yall see backing up Loston till Ramon gets back or how do yall see the two deep all together?

How Canfield continues to make this roster is amazing to me. He is hot garbage.

lefty aswell, I think SP always has one lefty in camp because it improves the catching of the recievers to be able to catch a completely different ball.

I predict Loston will play for LSU and Lofton will play for the Saints.

Probably Rudd. He has experience in the league and played at a high level. I dont know that I would enjoy him starting for any extended period, but if he had to come in in a pinch, I wouldnt be overly worried

Right? This is the one that surprises me a little. But i guess a 3rd string qb needs to be practice squad eligible.

Chances are if you're down to your third string guy for any length of time, you're taking a chance on a wiley old veteran that you call in.

Canfield will be gone by the time we go to 53. Besides, we need Canfield to take one for the team incase T-Rac tries to run over one of our qb's again.

I expected more frm Luke McCown.

Also, I thought Swanson Miller would last longer.

Thanks for the info.

Ellis has been the only D lineman not playing well this preseason.

The only area of the defense that's been struggling is the linebackers, and that's been more due to injury.

While I agree about the injuries I think the biggest struggle has been the blown coverages in the zone scheme. You can tell the DB's and LB's are still adjusting to it.

I respectfully disagree. I've seen his play noticely improve this pre-season.

Tyrunn Walker gonna make this team. Looking at tulsa film he can also play DE which will help the rotation while Smith is out

It's definitely looking better for Tyrunn.

The only reall hitch will be if Spags decides to use Cam Jordan as the backup DT along with Hicks (thus allowing another position like LB, or WR, or RB to keep an extra player in those tight battles)

Personally, I think keeping a defensive lineman is more important towards our long-term success (considering possible injuries) than it would be to keep a Toon, a Cadet, or a Humber.
