Another thing about that living room, and a few other of the rooms. Why the crosses? Especially in the living room. For Christians, is not the Cross supposed to be the central event in history and central meaning in the life of every Christian? But what do we see? We see a cross on a mantle, set to the side. What's in the center? What dominates the mantle, indeed, the room? A television. When people try to look Christian, when they try to put a good godly face on, they often expose how insignificant Christ is to their lives. If Christ is not first and foremost, why bother at all? The only position a cross should have in a home or anywhere else is front and center. Anywhere else is insulting and truly telling.
That may be the most foolish thing I have ever read. Not just on tigerdroppings (and there are a lot of idiotic things said on here), but anywhere. You are judging this family by the position of where they place a cross in a room of their house. The placement of their cross in a room doesn't mean that Christ doesn't come first in people's life. In your house is the cross right in front of your sofa where you sit and do you stare at it the whole time you are in that room and in whatever room you go in too? By what you are saying you mean that the SYMBOL of a cross should come 1st and foremost not the fact that Christ should come 1st and foremost. I can surely make Christ first in my life and not have a cross right in the middle of every wall in my house.

Her taste is obviously not mine. But perhaps it was the Payton's choice and not the designer's fault for that mess.
How did crosses become decoration? They are symbols of execution (and resurrection for Christians). Why not use images of gas chambers or electric chairs?
ETA to the poster above: Symbols point to something greater, and when we reduce our symbols to secondary status, it is showing that our geist has already given what that symbol represents secondary status.

If Christ died by electric chair then Christians would have a mini electric chair on the wall.

Dude - seriously. Drop the god complex. Go read your damn bible; especially the part about he who has no sin.... Be sure your looking in the mirror too. What a freaking a**hole.

Also.. leopard print floors in the movie room? what kinda movies they watch in there?
ETA: just saw the jellybean dispenser.. holy shite.

The media room and the backyard is all I'm really impressed with.
The decor is pretty gaudy and cluttered. I fricking hate clutter.
