reducing his trade value
You know the day will come when we will regret this wasted pick that we just guaranteed fully.

Cleveland saw this coming a mile away and will be sending us Christmas cards.

Regardless, it felt like if Cleveland took Shough over Milroe - or even Sanders - it would be a huge whiff. He's not exactly an inspiring prospect. He's simply experienced, and even that's a stretch considering the numerous injuries he suffered in college that led him to miss major time over the last several years. So, thankfully, the New Orleans Saints managed to help the Browns avoid such a mistake by making one of their own, and taking Shough with their 40th overall pick. Browns saved from themselves after Saints reach for Shough Shough was not by any means seen as a 2nd round talent ahead of the draft. This pick from the Saints signals that they're really uncertain about Derek Carr's availability to begin the 2025 season, and probably unsure about his future with the team as their starting quarterback

Arguing over remaining 5% guaranteed of a nickels 2nd rd contract at the most important position in football when he could be an immediate starter at qb for us for years in football is child’s play

Even if he is just a capable backup that isnt a bad deal. Godforbid he is actually good.

Glad it's over. Time to move along and get his arse in camp.
The team reports on the 22nd, I think he had to be signed to participate in the regular training camp. (not sure about that). Fortunately, that is definitely not the case for rookie mini-camp or OTAs, and Shough has not missed a single day of either.

Him holding out for an extra 2-3 million guaranteed just tells me he doesn’t even think he’s a long term QB

Don’t care about the money, but spending a top 40 pick on a capable backup is asinine when you had 1st round talent on the board that could really help you.

The whole league got cucked by Houston's GM actually
Nah, a few gms held strong. But when u reach for a qb that knows he has to start, Micky was always going to fold like a cheap suit.

OTA's and mini-camp are voluntary. NFL players particularly rookies are required to have a signed contract in training camp.

Ceiling that will never be reached even with a 12 ft ladder…
So your options with this prediction that literally no one is asking you to make are
1) haha we still suck and that didn’t work out
Or
2) dude is a baller and you will pretend you never said this, look like a moron, or be secretly annoyed that he’s awesome cause it made you look stupid.
I seriously don’t understand this mentality of you losers.
Just say “odds are against him but man I hope it hits” like a normal fan. frick you guys are just born miserable
