and he will lose. drafting is strictly a team's preference, it is not a right for a player to be drafted at a certain position. Now if he were to sue the BRPD for leaking this info, that's a different apple that can be bit

Only a fool would actually believe this; the cops haven't lost anything. Many have followed that path and it's lead to Angola.

And Adam Schefter. For tweeting like an a-hole.

If He lasts until the 5th or 6th round then go for it.

Summary of what I have been told (let's see how it turns out):
1. Saints goal is to draft 7 players
2. Saints are close to an agreement in principle to trade up w the Bears if Beasley is there (not giving up 31 unless swapped w 39)
3. Working on trading down from 31
4. Lael Collins will be drafted & by the Saints if he is not taken= trying to clarify when now

I would love to see the Saints draft Collins. Especially at a bargain.

I'll admit that I've been off the board for a few hours, but what happened to the "Collins at #31"?

1. Why the hell do they only want 7? I don't get this
2. I'm not on board with this. So dumb when he or another valuable player will be there. But as long as it's not for our other first, I can swallow that pill a little easier
3. Exactly what they need to do.
4. I don't like this given the circumstances. I surely hope he is innocent if this happens

If true, the Bucs want to get into that range using 33. The extra 5th year team option is kind of a big thing to let go of, though.

I'd give up our 31 and a third rounder to a team that has an early 2nd and give us their 16 1st

Unlikely that 7 rookies make the team, much less 9. Plus we're great at finding UDFAs.

If collins makes it to the third, i just don't know how i would let him slide by even if it is a potential drama filled PR hit.
If he's proven innocent you're talking about an anchor on your o-line taken in the middle rounds. Teams aren't going to pass that up for some other coin flip pick. It just make more sense to play for the big payoff with Collins.

These don't match. You trade down to get more picks; we already have 9 (which you say we won't use).
So, how many picks do we give up to move up (according to your source)?

i can see a possible arguement had you say 5th. 4th and higher, can't risk that PR nightmare.

What if he isn't?
Answer: Someone loses his job.

They could do something like swapping 31 and 78 for 33 and 65. Seems somewhat reasonable, though I would prefer keep 31 in the event that the player drafted ends up being good and we want the 5th year option. 15 of 2012's first rounders had their option years picked up this offseason.

Now, that's a Belichick move. That's the type of move that builds continuity.

That doesn't answer my question. He said we weren't keeping all 9 picks and then said we were trading down. If we're trading down, I assume it's for more picks.
We already have #31 and #78.
