Ah yes, the classic player x gets hurt so i get to be right about player y argument you love to make

I don’t think injury has anything to do with Achane being clearly better than Kendre Miller. 32/32 teams would prefer him.

I would say that and scheme definitely make him the better player. It's not like kendre is a scrub

Kendre is very talented, he’s also made of glass.

Achane had a single game year where he had more yards than Miller did all of last season combined. Miller played in 5 games.

Your arguments are worse than still trying to defend the Murray/DD trade that has been a complete disaster. You are a complete dumass if you think Miller is anything close to the same level as Achane. Scheme has nothing to do with it.

Funny that you say throw in like he wouldn't command a shite ton of money to keep

So I said it was smart to buy low on a player that was talented and ended up producing at an all pro level, and now everyone is crying we need more weapons this offseason for Shough when I specifically said it would be a great idea to get a number one receiver for peanuts when we had the chance.

And now it’s a bad idea b/c he might cost money to keep? News flash, good players cost money to keep.

Lol Jesus you never stop with this awful win you think you have.

We can pretend kendre wasnt tbe better college player, but thats a lie. He was.

We can pretend being in Pete Carmichael terrible system year one isnt a big deal, but it was.

We can pretend his injuries and being behind one of the best rbs in the league didnt impact his play, but it has.

Just another lack of nuance take from towndrunkard. But thump your chest over that dyson trade lol. I'm sure you're wicked proud of his terrible season

Maybe to people like you. I watched both in college and though Achane was much better. I said the only two rbs I thought were better that draft were Bijan and Gibbs.

And they are probably two of the few that have been better in the entire league.

You sure like to make a lot of excuses for the bad takes you have. Only person arguing for Miller now like the Murray trade on Pels talk lol.

Do you really think achane would put up the numbers he has now in the offenses we've ran over the past 4 years behind kamara?

You're being disingenuous as usual.

It's a boring hill to die on. This coaching staff didn't pick either of them. Moving forward lol

Thought on Pickens in FA

No.
quote:

George Pickens (now with the Dallas Cowboys as of 2025) has faced persistent personal issues regarding immaturity, on-field attitude, and discipline. Reports indicate a history of taunting, unsportsmanlike conduct, and, in 2024, over $20,000 in fines for poor behavior. He was noted for disengaged sideline behavior and was traded from Pittsburgh.
Key Details on Personal Issues:
Attitude & Maturity: Pickens has been criticized for being "disengaged" and "uninterested" during games, which led to high-profile,, and sometimes, childish,, behavioral incidents.
On-Field Conduct: He has a history of penalties for taunting and unsportsmanlike conduct.
Discipline Issues: He was involved in a, heated, 2024, game, incident, involving, a, facemask, infraction, and, was, known, for, wearing, inappropriate, eye, black, messages.
Departure from Pittsburgh: Due to these behavioral issues and, to, a, lesser, extent, a,, lack, of,, perceived, commitment, to, the, team,, the, Steelers, reportedly, pushed, to, trade, him, in, 2025, with, teams,, initially, hesitant, to, take, on, his, attitude,.
Response: While Pickens has acknowledged his, past, actions, and, the, need, to, mature,, he, has, also, often, been, defiant, in, the, face, of, criticism,.
Despite these issues, Pickens is considered a highly talented wide receiver, but his career has been marred by inconsistency in both his performance and his, professional, demeanor,.

Not what this team needs when rebuilding a culture of winning football.

If Mike Tomlin couldn't keep a lid on Pickens in Pittsburg I don't want him anywhere around our young coaching staff.

Some headaches are not worth it, no matter how talented.

Two things to chose from.
1. Pickens in his last year of first contract finally saw the light, found football Jesus and is on a new path.

2. Pickens in his last year realized his attitude and work ethic were not helping his hopes for a big second contract payday and adjusted.

How much will a team spend on him thinking they know the answer.

If you think #1 then you will pay top WR money.
If you think #2 then you disagree with drunktown.

Rattler did look much improved compared to last year. But I wasn’t a big Rattler guy.

I know yiu were quoted as saying Miller would be a superstar when drafted…

I think whoever signs him will pay top WR money for him and he will continue being a headache and a problem.

I pray it is not the Saints, and based on recent comments and signings, feel relatively confident they are not in the market for low character players not matter what they bring to the table. Even if you squint your eyes and think maybe just maybe he's learned a lesson and will turn a corner. Far too often once they get that bank account filled back up, they return to being themselves.

miller's talent is not the issue. ability to stay on the field is. i stand by my liking him out of college with what he's briefly shown on the field. i like achane and a lot of the rb's that year coming out.
