To be fair and balanced you could always list the players drafted ahead of Colston, JEvans, and Nicks.

He could have built a tremendous team, but he fricked it up. I don't hate him, but he just didn't have an eye for talent.

Darren Howard, Terrell Smith, Marc Bulger, Kevin Houser, Deuce McAllister, Kenny Smith, LeCharles Bentley, Jon Stinchcomb, Will Smith, Devery Henderson and Jammal Brown were all Haslett picks and all were all solid NFL contributors. On the flip side, Robert Meachem, U. Young, Andy Alleman, Antonio Pittman, J. Bushrod, Jason David, Marvin Mitchell and Taylor Mehlhaff have made no NFL impact. It's been mixed results by both staffs.

As for the players the Saints missed out on, you can make a pro bowl team of players who every team missed on. I mean hell, Bart Scott and James Harrison went undrafted in 2002 while Robert Thomas and Raonall Smith were the first LBers selected. T.J. Duckett and William Green were the first running backs selected in 2002 while Clinton Portis went #51, Brian Westbrook went #91 and Chester Taylor was #207. Wes Welker, E. Graham, Willie Parker, Ryan Grant, Lance Moore and London Fletcher all went undrafted.

Deuce was better than ricky.
no he was not, solid back Deuce was, but from a sheer talent standpoint, not many was better than Ricky. still he wasn't worth trading away a whole slate of picks, but if Ricky has his head on straight, stays away from pot and plays an entire NFL career injury free, he is a HOF'er.

Out of all of our draft picks under Payton, why would you post the two that seem primed for a breakout year? Or, at least in Usama's case, a year or two from now...

LE is right on that one, Grant has Loomis over at his home nightly on a routine basis to tap that arse to show his gratitude.
