The roommate should just get tested. If they are positive with no symptoms then no need for separation.

Hope she gets through it ok with no lingering effects. Those are the worst part about it if you get through the initial disease. The long term effects are annoying as frick.

Being fat is a huge comorbidity and it's completely controllable for 99.9% of people.
I hope your daughter is in OK, but we've known this shite for 18 months. At some point people have to lie in the bed they've made.

i'm pretty sure i caught it before it all "came out". i'm fighting a ringing in my left ear that's fricking torturous.

When i had it they had me check my vitals twice a day.
Get her a pulse/ox meter. cheep and can find at any drug store.
Diffultiy breathing could just be a panic atack. pulse/ox meter will let you know when her oxygen level is low.
FYI, during my peak, pulse was 120 rage after doing basically nothing, but my oxygen level never went below 93
pulse oximeter looks like the above

My 10yr old had it.
Just a runny nose.
Wife had it…just a sinus infection until she lost taste.

Gotcha. I do not think you have anything to worry about unless she has a condition.

any other questions?
No i would just never give my kids an experimental unapproved unstudied "vaccine" for some they have a 0.001% chance of serious complications from, and it doesnt keep them from catching or spreading it anyway so it foesnt have anything to do with the elders.
The science is what it is

I hate to sound alarmist but the right thing to do is to seek medical attention immediately, regardless of age. Do not listen to the "I'm so brave, I'm so defiant, I won't get a vaccine, I know I am special and it can't affect me, and if I do it won't be more than a runny nose" rhetoric that may spout here from those who are adverse to needles like whiney elementary school children. Double covid pneumonia is a horrible way to go when your family can only see you struggling to breathe through a window. Avoid it if possible and seek treatment if infected. And get vaccinated so that you won't be another carrier continuing the spread even if you aren't affected.
My family had three funerals in one calendar month. Sure, several other family members had it with milder symptoms, but nevertheless you can't predict the course of it.
There are worse things than being ridiculed by the "experts" here on the O-T, and covid is potentially one of them. Face it, at this point we are all tired of the virus but the virus is not tired of us.

Man, I'm sorry to hear it. It IS freaking scary. I had it, my wife had it and 2 of my 3 kids got it. It was back in Oct of last year though.
Daughter(14) - lost taste/smell, was like a bad flu for a week or so.
Youngest Son(14) - no symptoms, barricaded himself in his room once we found out.
Oldest Son(17) - felt bad for a day or so and was fine after.
Wife(45) - was in the bed for a couple of weeks with flu like symptoms.
Me(45) - felt like crap for a couple of days chest hurt, dry cough for a couple of weeks. got it on a Thursday and was back working on like Tuesday/Wednesday(work from home...so no worries about getting someone else sick)
The 4 of us that got sick all had the lethargy and brain fog. That part was rough.
Don't listen to these hammerheads on this board. "She's young, she'll be fine" is nonsense when you're showing symptoms like this.
Glad she's going to the hospital.
