Funny, the Monroe County sherriff was just on saying they do not expect any massive loss of life, and that they've only had 3 deaths so far.

There are over 20k permenant in key west alone. It was estimated between 10-20k did no evac the islands.
They are just making there way down there. It's plausible that 2k+ could be dead.

Doesn't look that bad. Have two facebook friends that live in Key West and while they have posted pics of damage, they haven't mentioned deaths.
Edit to add: I only really looked at the places I know in Key West. Didn't really look at the other keys.
