I literally just buy the cheapest comfortable polarized lenses I come across.

It's a miracle myself and all the poors aren't blind. Cause you know....we would be better off without sunglasses rather than to be a cheap poor. Jfc...

FWIW I still use a pair I had from high school baseball like 12 years ago that are going strong. Just get new lenses when they get too scratched up. Those are mostly just for shooting though.

For golf I got a pair for like $80 last year on eBay new. So no I am not paying $350 for a pair of sunglasses

One thing you don't understand is the effects are cumulative and take long periods of time to manifest. UV damage to eyes are normally not seen until people get in their late sixties and older. It is similar too but not exactly the same process as melanoma.

You don't have to buy sunglasses that are several hundred dollars per pair there are plenty of much cheaper sunglasses that block essentially all UV and high violet rays. The potential problem is the super cheap sunglasses that have not been tested and don't even claim UV protection. Maybe they do and maybe they don't there is just no way to know. It is like protecting your skin and hearing you often aren't aware of the damage being done and pay for it when you are older.

If you want to continue to opine about this explain how the simple science I laid out is incorrect, we can go as deep in the weeds as you like. You are convinced you are right so you should be able to back it up or you are simply blissfully ignorant.
