Pizza Safari? It was more like Chuck E. Cheeses than Sillyville.

Used to walk from Beau Rivage to Lewisburg on the Crystal Lake trail a bunch before The Sanctuary was there. That was always good
The Trace as railroad tracks
Used to go shoot back by Pelican Park when it was getting started
Lonesome Rd being gravel (and called Hotsy Totsy). My grandpa helped build the Hotsy Totsy bar was back when
That one yard in Covington with a half pipe in it
Doing donuts at old landing

Seeing all the junkies parked at AA meetings at the old convenience store on Monroe

Camp Old Hickory was the jam, but is solely responsible for my hatred of horses. This little fricker named Dr. Pepper decided to go crazy and threw me off his back. Is Camp Old Hickory still open? I used to dominate the swim races at the end of the week.
Anyone ever do a week at Camp Abbey?
& Pizza Safari was the place I was thinking of, thanks! You're right, it was more like Chuck E Cheese than Sillyville

I remember Dr Pepper.. He was a Wiley one.
And I went to camp abbey one summer, fricking hated it haha.
Franco's camp was also cool, had that indoor play area with N64 and that huge slide. Had some hot counselors too...

Daryls fricking deli. Now it's just a slab for cops to pop you going over 30.
i remember the wall maze at silly ville being a blast. And that back room/loft on top of the rope wall. Great times.
YMCA off 190.
Roller Kingdom 2.....I can still hear the music
Putt putt was incredible back then
Pelican Park when it was just two huge soccer fields. Then a little baseball field.
Wow now I feel old.
shite, how could I forget.....swimming out to the shack.

Swimming to and jumping off "the shack" in the lake
All of the mud riding trails (59 in Abita, powerlines off of 59, Soult St, Three Rivers Rd, across the street from Champagne's house)
Used to hunt pretty much everywhere

quote:All of this.
Pelican Park before it grew too much.
Putt Putt golf before it grew too much.
The Trace before it was extended.
French Market before it grew too much.
The Holiday Square movie theater before it grew too much.
The Abita Springs Pavillion in its original position.
Tiffany Lanes is the only remnant of Mandeville from the 90s that has remained in its same state. I respect that.

Also, I'm proud of the Movie Tavern folks for actually doing something with the old movie theater. That thing had a "closed for repairs" marquee for like 10 years

Going to Marleys till 4am because everywhere else had a 2am curfew. Driving from the interstate on 21 to St Tammany hospital at night and seeing just a handful of cars. Swimming under the Tchefuncte river bridge and occasionally jumping off. The oaks that lined the drive to Loius Prima golf course.

To be fair, I think there's still only 1 stop light.

I lived at the Shack a couple summers. I had my 16th birthday party at Blue Pond behind Mandeville High. We all camped out and it turned into a shiet show. Best buddies fighting and drinking all night. Then somehow 2 CHS girls showed up and slept with 3 dudes in 1 night then woke up in the morning screaming "I hate Mandeville guys!" Good times.

My maw maw used to take me there and sneak pounds of candy in. She'd stash it inside of her umbrella even if it wasn't raining

Last time I went through there was 2, friend of mine that works for the parish says there are plans for more. That AWG warehouse has turned the village into a boomtown!

Out of all of the people I knew from CHS, there was only one good looking girl, and she was TPT
God damn we got in some fights with CHS guys
