That's not correct. It's a C-P agency not a private charity.

The council must also have an annual audit performed through the Legislative Auditor’s office by a certified public accountant that is submitted to the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs and the East Baton Rouge Metro Council."

the UI, functionality, and ease of use...
gotta say, that's a finely tuned and engineered website.
I'm legitimately curious whether this is sarcastic or not. I am in the process of starting a business around the use and visualization of data on the web such as this. It could be done significantly better (and likely cheaper) using custom built solutions instead of trying use platforms like Socrata.

Thats a serious comment. The website runs very smoothly, is easy to navigate, and has all sorts of information.

If this site actually works as expected, it's one of the actual good steps this admin has taken.
It's pretty much getting the public to audit gov expenses for free.
Let's see what the admin does now when people raise questions.

Dude in terms of BI what did you expect? The City ain't gonna pay for anything fancy. I have used Open BR for years now to download and import Tax/crime data into SQL Server. It's functional. Not pretty though.
If you want to pay, there are some 3rd party BI solutions that tap the OpenBR Data and will provide the bells and whistles for a price.

I have no interest in hijacking the thread, but real quick. The way he phrased the statement, at least to me, left some ambiguity to his intent.
Regarding the site, it's roughly inline with the status quo of BI if you want to call it that. The fact that BR is attempting to go this route is great and I'm honestly not trying to be critical of the site. However, if people think that the UI and display of the data is user friendly and intuitive, then IMO it shows that I'm on the right path with what I'm attempting to do.
