I just noticed this part. Were you staring at him the whole time?

He was no doubt masturbating at the same time.

I turned 18 the year they changed the legal drinking age to 21. I turned 18 in 1996.

Yep - can confirm. I was able to drink legally for about a month in 1996.

Pretty sure it was Bud Light.

Pretty sure?

How about be damn sure before you go and make assumptions, judgements and accusations of someone else that could jeopardize their job/life.

How many people have you told already in your "office" setting? If you've told any women, multiply that number by 3 because I assure you they've already told several others and the gossip going around by now is minimally true.

Is he operating machinery where negligence could hurt someone? If mot, mind your business. Plenty of people have a pop or 2 at lunch. It's no big deal.

so if you saw him in a restaurant, would you feel the same about it?

Honestly, I've never had one on the clock, but I would consider one or two at a business lunch a little uncouth. That said, slinking out to the car for the hair of the dog = alcoholic.

My office has a full-size beer fridge open to all employees because we are adults.

2 beers at work is nothing for you to worry about, and you sound like a huge pussy.

I know in our practice it's a delicate situation and you ultimately have to ask "Is the consumption of alcohol having a negative impact on that person's ability to perform their job safely and effectively." If it doesn't affect that, then honestly you need to disregard it.

You don't want someone to lose their job or license over something like that if it isn't negatively impacting work.

Sure it's probably not the best idea to be doing that but the above suggestion is how it should be handled.

ETA: edited for grammar police due to fat fingers.

Parking lot dude is gonna have a heart attack draining back 2 back Monster energy drinks on a lunch break.

If hes dumb enough to drink in the parking lot at work then let nature take care of itself.

Nothing wrong with throwing back a few during work hours so long as you're not driving

You do realize that there is nothing wrong, spiritually, with having an adult beverage. Jesus drank wine all the time...
