AllStar U10 team down by 4 bottom of the 6th.

3 straight Select aka travel baws leave Coach’s kid that’s Select standing next to him on 3rd.
Loss by 1.
Select/Travel ball just fails.
Non-select baws were athletes who play more than one sport.
If they would have just played the better players and not their kids. What could have been?
Look man I REALLY want to understand what you are saying, but you are doing us NO favors.

also you realize that many travel ball kids play both travel ball and rec....right?
and if you think rec is even close to higher level travel ball.....well you are dumber than your grammer indicates....which is pretty god damn dumb.
usually even the worst player on a AA travel ball team will be one of the better players on a rec all star team in most places. Hell at 8u and below its pratically dangerous for travel ball kids to play in rec.

The real question was whether the 3 select/travelbaws played their “Hype” music when they came to bat. That is a large factor in their impact at the plate.

People who think the outcome of youth sports competitions matters are naively retarded.
It only matters how parents and players HANDLE winning and losing.

I don't know what any of this means.

How does two at bats produce three runs?
Or are you saying there were kids already on base before those two at bats?
But, to your point... "select" implies that these kids are better than others. Most travel ball kids are simply rec kids with parents who want to travel on weekends.
Also, all star teams, especially ones playing in u-trip tournaments, have to have all their kids play in a sanctioned rec league. So I'm guessing all these "select" as you call them kids, also play rec.
Which is interesting in itself, as down here, most travel ball coaches do not allow their kids to also play rec / all-star.

I suppose I'm not the only one who didn't understand this.
I didn't understand it.
But, my guess is that the OP is upset because an all-star team somehow ended up having travel players...and still didn't win. Now, he wants to suggest that if the coach had instead fielded a team of non travel players, they might have won.
In short, this is sour grapes and every bit as pathetic as anyone who takes the travel ball thing too seriously.

Ummm…my kid plays travel baseball, basketball, football and rides horses. I can’t think of but two kids on his team that doesn’t play other sports. So just like most of these travel ball bashing post, you don’t know shite about what you are talking about.
Oh yea, and by the way, he also played rec baseball this year. He’s 10 and made the 11u all star team. His 10u travel team would beat the ever loving shite out of any of the 11u all star I have seen so far.

3/4 of those kids would rather be at home riding their bikes or plying in the creek.
