I'll take a driving in the left lane ticket over following too closely and reckless driving.
It's reckless because the tailgater is the one who is upping the ante on dangerous and knowingly taking action that puts lives in danger.
But tailgaters don't give a shite (until they rear end you and are held responsible).

It is more than breaking laws, 99.9% of American drivers are incapable of driving safely at 85-90 MPH, they don't have the patience, focus, and are not capable of turning off the cell phone, add a little rain and it is a recipe for disaster.

Your state is also maddening as frick when you approach the tunnel going from Norfolk to Hampton on 64. People slow down entirely too much to go through there and cause horrific traffic jams. There's no reason to reduce your speed from 60 to 35 just to go through a tunnel on the interstate.

You're breaking the law by reckless driving and endangering the safe drivers on the road. If I'm in the left lane and going 15mph over the limit then it's your problem and you can eat a dick. You should also be ticketed

The thing that kills me about shitty drivers from Louisiana is that people in just about every other state that I-10 passes through seem to get it. Once you hit Louisiana, it’s as if the drivers here have all had this epiphany and they suddenly “get” something that no drivers from other states seem to get. Other than what they “get” is what screws up the flow of traffic. It’s why when traveling the I-10 corridor, the stretch through Louisiana takes so long and is miserable. You can pretty much fly through all the other states with little stress. Why is it that other states get it, yet our drivers are stubborn and bull headed about the left lane usage. I mean good lord, it’s common sense.

How sure are you, really, that you know what the speed limit is on any given stretch of highway?
Reason I ask is that not that long ago I had some dickhead try to cut me off because he didn't notice the 10mph speed limit increase as we left a local town. He kept right on doing the old in-town limit and tried to play amateur law enforcement.
