Flonase
Nothing beats Flonase for me. There's a generic now that's much cheaper.

Maybe I'm weird, but almost no meds in pill form do anything at all for me. Pain, allergy, doesn't matter. If it's a pill, it doesn't do shite. Especially the non-drowsy stuff, just no relief whatsoever. My allergies were so bad that I started sucking on regular Benadryl tabs. I had to rub them all over the roof of my mouth to stop the itching in my sinuses. Tasted awful and made me tired, but at least my eyes weren't as itchy and my nose wasn't running non-stop.

Finally I tried Flonase, and it was like magic. One shot in each nostril and it's as if I don't have allergies at all. It's just miraculous for me.

I’ve tried the sprays, but find they make my nose have bloody boogers.
If the choice is between allergies and bloody boogers, give me the bloody boogers every day.

Tip: Whichever one you decide on be sure to buy the generic version from Amazon. Fraction of the cost of name brand or even in-store generics.

I just bought a 6 pack of the generic Flonase at Sam's for $36.

I saw some other allergy type meds which got me thinking.

I have to go to CVS tomorrow to pick up script. I'll look for that house brand.

Thanks for all the recommendations. This is new territory for me. I just figured out today why I've felt like dog arse tired all week. Realized that every evening I fell great again. It's the Zyrtec wearing off and my energy is back.

If you are anything like me, the Flonase will work wonders. It's supposed to work best if you use it daily, and I guess it does, but I find it works pretty well even for some emergency relief.

My allergies are very seasonal, pretty much only March-June. I'm not sure exactly what I'm allergic to, but every year I just wait until my nose starts tingling when I go outside, then I start taking it. Then I wean down to once every 2 or 3 days in late May or June to make sure my season is past.

Some stuffiness but mostly causes this mucus drip that won't end.

I'm thinking I need to find something to go with this Flonase knockoff. That's why.i bought the "non drowsy" Zyrtec.

Id love to get this stopped without being a sleeping zombie

Zyrtec and Claritin both made me drowsy, too. Try Allegra. It’s one I’ve found that doesn’t make me drowsy.

Take along with Flonase.

This is what works for me. But I'm a wired mofo for about 18 hours. It's like a kinder, gentler form of meth.

Flonase and Zyrtec are doing nothing for me. I’ve been adding 1-2 Benadryl at night as needed.

Thoughts on Flonase versus Nasacort?

Nasacort is like a placebo compared to flonase.

THIS. I had the worst allergies this year, and none of the more expensive meds were working. I tried Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, etc. My doctor told me to try this. It worked beautifully. You can get the generic, Chlor-Tabs, at Walmart. 100 of them cost $2.96.
