The police should just stop responding to calls in these areas, we've all seen the videos of these thugs riding around showing off their assault rifles and arsenal of weapons, im sure these guys are on nerves getting a call.
Just let them all act like the savages they are and only respond if they start to creep into the civilized areas of town. Won't have these situations anymore.

Top story on GMA. Here we go

He was shot for having a gun. selling the CDs was his "criminal activity" before this discovery though.
Had he been arrested and detained, he would have also been charged with resisting arrest, illegally carrying a firearm, and probably assault on an officer for shits and giggles.

He wasn't shot for that either. But okay.

If he doesn't have a gun, does he get shot?

Wow...
That is not a good look. Just from a pure observational perspective, having 2 guys sitting on top of a guy, then one shoots the dude in the face several times is not going to play well.
Has it been confirmed that the guy had a gun?
And even if he did, 2 cops couldn't disarm him while on top without shooting him in the face several times?

If he complies before the taser he doesn't get shot. If he goes down with the two tasers he doesn't get shot. If he doesn't threaten someone with the gun to get the cops called there he doesn't get shot. If he doesn't resist arrest he doesn't get shot. It wasn't a single thing and none of it had to do with the CDs.

Yeah, he got murdered. He was helpless on the ground with 2 cops on top of him, then gets shot up close in the chest? "HE'S GOT A GUN!" was ol boy's lazy way of getting the situation under control.

He was shot in the chest not face.
Posted on 7/6/16 at 7:39 am to ell_13
That was highly uncalled for.

Gotcha. Still...
And I'm not completely faulting the cops in this situation, they are people, they see gun, they react. I get it. Self preservation and adrenaline kicks in.
But it doesn't look good.

It's literally insane to think about how I don't get shot in the face by cops every day. Maybe I should stop being a law abiding citizen. I feel left out.

Agreed. It doesn't look good.
What people don't know is how cops are taught to react in the situation. Cops wrestling with a guy have been killed even by someone who is unarmed. BR cops. If one of them saw the gun and thought he was going for it, that's it. Justified in the eyes of the law. People may not like it or agree. I get it. But it's a law that exists not to protect the police but any lethal force by anyone.

If you are a cop and you have a guy pinned on the ground, you don't shoot him in the face. Period.
