How does free 2 day shipping of an item ordered before lunch today, equal Oct 12th by 8pm?
This has been happening to me more and more often. Clearly marked as prime and in stock, yet four to five day delivery times.

Amazon is really getting shady with the shipping dates.
recently, i've had two items completely "lost," one of which i had paid for next day shipping because it was a semi-urgent anti-scratch doughnut for my dog.
I ordered some shoes especially to help with my tendinitis treatment, and they were 3 days late.
And of course the raised their fee.

Yeah, I just bitch at Amazon in emails now and I get $10 off my next order or a $10 credit on current order. I do it every time. My Prime membership pays for itself this way and I still get free shipping.

Yeah it is bullshite. Just placed an order yesterday (Sunday) and one item was shipped with two day prime free shipping and it comes on Weds. The rest of the items were shipped with two day prime free shipping that comes on Thrs. I agree with OP, WTF is with the 2 day free shipping.

I have 153 GB of pictures and video on Prime Photos and we use Prime Video too, so I still get some utility from the membership. But like many companies, Amazon is slipping in the area that made them so great and that was reliably getting a product to my door in 2 days of me hitting "Buy it now."
I've been prime for a long time, so I have had plenty of things get here early, get here late, etc. I understand how it works. I have an Amazon warehouse 10 minutes away too. USPS stinks and Amazon has eroded what Prime once was.
My argument is still One Day Shipping = Tuesday, then Two Day Shipping CANNOT = Friday.

Dream on.
How many minutes would you spend in traffic trying to get to a hardware store / auto parts store/ bakery supplies store/ etc. to buy something that a clueless clerk assured you that they had it in stock? Only to get to that store, and you find that the store closed before you got there (heavy afternoon traffic)/ the item that you called about isn't there/ that the item has never even been stocked there/ is the wrong color or size or item number? And the other stores in town are at least fortyfive minutes away in heavy traffic no where near where you live and drive?

I bet it's not.

I got a box 2 weeks ago that I just opened on Saturday. It was broken. Did an online return/replace, dropped off my package at UPS this morning, and my replacement arrived later today.
And I live out in the country.
