You have a fine, fine online retailer right here in Columbia, Louisiana, Knifeworks. You also have Knife Center and BladeHQ.
The 1st Forged In Fire International World Championship knife maker is in NWLA too: JW Randall -Keithville-S'port Times

This sent me a knife I never ordered this week. I don't know any rednecks with cheesy knife collections, so I just sold it on Nextdoor for ten bucks.

friend of mine got the catalog and mentioned that the word "Christmas" is nowhere to be found in the entire catalog.

I looked through the entire catalog and didn’t see any pictures of women in bras so I just gave that junk mail to my kids.

Time for Sears to step up!

I’ve always said if Sears would have been smart they’d have become Amazon before Amazon existed. They missed the significance of the emergence of the internet and now they’re all but gone.

The greatest irony there is that mail order is what made Sears into Sears.

The harsh reality is a public company like Sears would have had a near-impossible time placating shareholders while hemorrhaging the money needed to weather the long period of no profit. Had they been able to do it the competitive edge would have been huge given that they had what amounted to warehouses in every small town across the US. Managed correctly they could have had 1-2 day shipping from the outset for tens of thousands of SKUs for the vast majority of the US.

It really shows the difference in risk acceptance for VC money vs shareholder money.

Sears had a hedge fund manager as their big wig. It is like they wanted to fail.

Sears Christmas catalogues were the best back when. .

One of my 5 year olds is circling all over that thing.

Smart move. Parents get to experience 80s nostalgia.

I order my knives from TV like a real man.

Cutlery Corner practically gives them away sometimes. That and Flexpay makes it a no brainer.
