Not much.
70K mortgage balance (i think)
21K car loan
700 bucks (CC debt)
No student Loans
Husband and I make more money than ever and we are both confused on how people are affording 500-600k homes, private tuition, VERY nice cars and lots of vacations in a year on teacher salaries

Which leads to more inflation. The American people like their government, spend way over their means.

We have a mortgage that would seem eye watering to most. That's enough for us.

No shite.
This is kind of a stupid headline because household debt is generally always increasing. It's a meaningless "stat" on its own.

None here. Mortgage paid off a few years ago and try to live debt-free.
I grew up really poor, and I have a strong need for financial security. Debt stresses me out.

There is nothing more frustrating than people complaining "I'm so poor, I can't pay for xxxxxx" and they have the new iphone and new iwatch.

Yea these two are a little different than other debts, assuming you didn't get a basket weaving degree

You talking housing? Try 100% gouging.
And that's just the last few years.

The old adage was to never spend more than 30 percent of your take home pay on housing. That got blown out of the water.

This data is meaningless unless adjusted for inflation and population. Even with no changes in borrowing habits, debt levels will inevitably set records every year on a nominal basis, all else being equal.
