The ammo shortage is a PITA. I have a couple hundred 9mm rounds. Feel like I need to horde them even though they are cheap range rounds.

What? You think the humidity in Texas and Louisiana is going to keep the gun powder from getting moisture in it? Quite the opposite. Ever have a Bic Lighter full of fuel not fire off when you flick that sucker a hundred times?

Isn't that Sao clown one of those "tiered" posters? I guess that particular circle jerk takes, um, all comers.

Nope. With a Tromp loss the senate is gone D and the house id deeper D. With all 3 branches the excise tax on ammo will be through the rook and purchases will be severely limited. Likely some 10 to 15 rounds a week type limit. We will be headed for very dark days, as bad as Obamacare was pushed through the shite that will get shoved through will be that on steroids and one of their top targets is gun control.

Anyone care to shed light on when they think things will return to some sense of normalcy regarding ammo in stock?

The same hoarding that went on with TP. I know someone who has 5000 rounds of 9mm and bought 1 of the only 2 cases Cabelas got in last Friday. Had to pay a premium at the indoor range just to grab 4 boxes for a field test/review we are doing. SHOT will be interesting in January. Range day usually starts with a pallet of ammo at each range...the pile of brass built up over the day is a sight to behold.

It took 2.5 years for .22 ammo to come back in stock after Sandy Hook

Right now there are riots all over the country and both sides of the spectrum are buying weapons and ammo like crazy

But I have this odd feeling that only one side of that spectrum actually knows how to use the weapons in circulation.

Biden’s gun control plan is pretty frightening
Not sure why you got downvoted. His plan should concern gun owning Americans.

Yeah I've got it from the other end. Was at the range when our stay-at-home order was announced. I fired off what was left in the clip and put the rest back into the range bag. As toilet paper was the first week we are on a "buy a box everytime we see it in stock" routine. Even including kids we are over the 1:1 ratio of guns. With various calibers our fall back is 12ga steel shot. If we are really in trouble we have a few pellet guns to hunt with.

I have 2 small locations that are never out of anything I use which is 45acp, .40, 9mm, .308. 223 and 556. I can walk in this morning and buy 250 or 500 round cans of any of that but I have enough of all of it already.
